Usually if eggs become white quickly this indicates that they are not fertilized.

How did the McDonald’s jars go clear? What happened to the milk component in the water? Did it get cycled out?
@KSUAquaculture
@KSUAquaculture 5 жыл бұрын
During about one hour eggs are moved in milk suspension by air bubbles. Then air supply stopped but water flow is turned on. So, milk suspension is washed out from jars by coming water.

What did you do to make the fish not move? I've netted out some kois that size and they'd be flopping everywhere let alone let you squeeze 'em like that.

Don't you rinse the fertilized eggs to prevent the polyspermy before pouring them into the jar?
@KSUAquaculture
@KSUAquaculture 5 жыл бұрын
Eggs of all teleost fish (including koi) have only one micropyle (opening in egg's membrane through which spermatozoon enters the egg). (In contrast to sturgeons and paddlefish whose eggs have multiple micropyles.) Therefore, for teleost fish polyspermy is not a problem; you can use any amount of sperm for fertilization and no rinsing is needed.

Great idea. My son owns a koi breeding farm in Hanover PA (Hanover Koi Farms) and I think he'd be really interested in some of your ideas. He's already build his own tunnels, but I'd like to see a lot more details on how you're building your fish tanks. Especially, how you're connecting your cables to keep the pressure in check. Do you have another site showing a closer look at you building these structures?

I used to use this method to spawn my Goldfish back in the 80s when I was 12, I learnt a lot from this, haven't seen this method in over 30 years, im surprised the eggs can be treated that harshly tho in the tubes and remain fertile, whats the process after this, like to see the end result or where you leave eggs to incuabte and after where do you transfer the fry.....thanks

Are you using distilled water? To add to sperm to Dilute? You said wipe out all water, then you said you added some to dilute solute before fertilizing. Also, does temperature, ppm, or phone matter at any of these stages?

Hi My name is Fung. I have a question on how to keepxx I am wondering is this a common situation that the leaf vegetable are getting soft and withered after a few days once i harvested various types of crops on my aquaponics system. I used to cut all the root and place them in indoor area with room temperature.
