Love ya, brother. And yes, we do lead people to Jesus. That's what you described at that church. They were "leading you to Christ". That doesnt mean they saved you. But they brought you to Him. Then its between you and God. I was on the street in New Orleans March 23, 1984 at 26 years old with a 12 year drinking problem, and drugs since 15. It had gotton bad, I even had holes in my arms, but a bigger hole in my heart, and always thinking about suicide since I was a teenager. And while asking God to either help me or take me out, a stranger came up to me that day on St. Charles Avenue walking out of Audubon Park and began to love me just like I was. And he told me about the cross and how Jesus had suffered and died taking my punishment for my sins. And how He rose again and is alive! And could change my life, and I needed to be saved before I died and went to Hell. I knew He was tling the truth, I knew it. So I prayed right there to be saved by coming to Jesus. And He did it! He forgave me and I knew it. My heart really changed. It broke my heart to know God loved me that much as dirty as I was and all the sins I was living with. I've never been the same, I trusted Him to save me. Now I had to go back home to Hattiesburg, Mississippi and tell my friends and family! They had to know before it was too late. But you see, that stranger led me to Jesus. He did what Jesus commanded us to do. GO TELL. Proverbs 11:30 says, "The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise". That does not mean we can save anybody. No. Only God does that. But by preaching the gospel, that is by sharing the gospel message (1 Cor. 15:3-4) the Holy Spirit in that moment takes it to their heart. If we get it to their ears, then He takes it to their heart. The geart is where we can't go! The heart is God's domain. We go trusting Him to prepare hearts to hear, and then He convicts of sin, the way of righteousnss thru Jesus, and of judgment to come. That is the Holy Spirit's job. We love them and tell them. God has always done it this way. People tell people how to be saved. That's why He tells us to "Go Tell". So He will have that seed to bring them to Himself. But they must hear first, then surrender and repent and trust Jesus. Or not. Receive Him by faith to be saved. Or reject Jesus, it's their choice. But somebody has to tell them. That is what He means by "leading souls to Jesus". Its simply introducing someone to your best friend. Now they can either leave with Him or choose to reject Him. But it's start with an introduction. BTW, I soon learned you were saved and I was so pumped! I had been a fan of GFR since I was 15. I had yall's 8 tracks, then cassettes, and I play guitar, since I was 15. Kerry Livgren got saved too! Many others! This was such a cool thing! Bless you, brother Mark. Thanks for all the music. And your staying with Jesus and always telling the world. JESUS IS KING! ☝️😎

I remember back in the 90s Dan’s father was part of Dan’s website. He used to reply to us. He was so proud of his son. Dan put out some CD’s with other folks after this was made. The group was called “Peace” it was Dan and 2 other guys. I have the CD’s of that time. Out of print now. You might find them online.

Story is cute but Shepherds do not keep sheep for a good reason other than to profit and slaughter. The Lamb does not eat Lamb. God does not like your burnt sacrifices. Human disconnect justifies crimes. Illusory superiority. Herding culture.

I have come to find that this album has become a staple to Christmas music lovers the moment they come upon it. Many of the tracks from this album are included in compilation albums from that era, that's how good it is. It brings back so many fond memories for me also and I'm so glad it was available for me to download and share with others. Thanks for your comment.

Am struck by the beauty of this piece and is an old favorite. The reason the sadness in losing loved ones is so deep is that this is not meant to be. As long as I (you) and my (your) loved ones follow Jesus there is no sadness as we will live for eternity with Jesus in paradise. I pray that you know where you are going - Heaven

Blast from the past Patrick. We even spoke on the phone years ago and I became worried that you may be falling from the faith. I think that it upset you and we lost contact. Now, you may be a former sorcerer, but you can never be a former Christian. It is my belief that, even though we walk away from God, God will never leave you nor forsake you. This is in the Word of God, a promise. Hope you are still okay brother and that you can forgive anything I said that ever upset you. -Sean

Beautiful and touching testimony ❤ I'm in the music business and learned from my pastor 40 years ago who was a musician when he came to Christ, that we need to minister to the lost while working with the lost. He always gives his testimony of how if it wasn't for the keyboard player ministering to him he wouldnt be where he is today.
