Hello Beau Johnson, I'm Sohan, a Digital Marketing Expert. I looked at your KZbin channel. You started the channel in 2018 and have already uploaded over 788 videos. However, you only have 14.2k subscribers and the videos have very few views. I realized that although your content is great, the videos are not properly SEO and optimized. This has caused your channel to lose rank. I see many more problems. If you allow me, I can advise you in detail on how to fix your channel's problems and reach the content more effectively. Best regards, Sohan

Hi Beau, I’ve followed you on here over the past year and started buying from you on WN last November. I was in one of your shows today and purchased a couple items. When I went to go look at your upcoming shows it said I was blocked. I’m assuming this was a mistake because otherwise I have zero idea what I did wrong. Anyway, I would love to keep buying from you but if not that’s okay too.

$500k a year in sales or profit? What’s the margin?
@an1_uk2 күн бұрын
Because thrift stores tend to have a fixed price based purely on the label saying "Levi's", I've recently had good luck finding Selvedge Levis such as Levi's Vintage Clothing, and Levi's Made and Crafted for reasonable prices.

I disagree about needing a plan. I have never planned out my business, I work part time hours, and I profit at least 60k every year for the last 3 years. It doesn't need to be that complicated.

I’ve was prided my self with knowing brands. On eBay that doesn’t matter. It’s STR ONLY!!! I’ve tried to sell some great brands of my own and they’re a simple $20 dollar item. It’s so crazy. 🤪. Enjoy you guys!!!

500k a year ? It’s the brazen dishonesty for me ….Caley posts her weekly figures . Stop with the click bait. She is a great reseller and gives good tips . Don’t ruin that by being dishonest.

I feel like I’m stalking Cayley. Your video popped up on my feed. I enjoy Cayley. She chooses to be a mentor in her success and finds purpose in helping others. I appreciate that. I also appreciate all the info. I’m in my 6th year of reselling, and it has gotten very competitive and the restructuring of thrift store models has made inventory harder to acquire. I go to the bins, but that can be an ugly facet of humanity 😂 What I love about successful resellers is that they find ways around the obstacles to succeed. C@vid really proved that! ❤❤❤

I’m literally crying right now. I do pick up great items and learn constantly about new trends/keywords/brands. But I’m so burnt out 😢 because I don’t have sales and no money. I don’t want a job because I wanted to sell thrift store clothes since I was 6. I have experience working at the thrift store. I feel like I do know a lot. I just don’t understand why my items not selling 😢. Literally like a curse buyer wants to cancel their Lilly P pants order on eBay right now. Sorry for the rant, but really I just want to eat and pay my bills. I’m not dreaming about big money anymore.

I dropped my Poshmark prices like 60% because I’m at this point. 😮
@KindredThreads3 күн бұрын
@HappySmile703 I can relate to the frustration. It’s really hard to see other resellers moving things consistently, while others struggle, despite the work and diligence. I want to tell you to not beat yourself up. Poshmark is a challenging platform right now. Cancellations happen. It’s February - tax season, coming off of the holidays…Spending may be tighter right now. Take a step back and rebalance. It’s often helpful to look at what you can change and what you can’t. Maybe joining a reseller support group? I’m looking into that myself. I don’t have any social media for my business, and I realize that may play a part in my lower sales. I also need to do better finding high sell through rate items. That is always the challenge in sourcing. And I don’t often like those items 😂 Relax a bit and regroup. You are not alone! ❤

I’ve been watching a few different resellers for a few years getting understanding of what sells and what doesn’t. There are certain brands that sell for more from the stores but not good at all for resellers. You would think they would but resellers have more focused buyers. They are looking for vintage, authentic, real materials, like: real silver, real stones, things that are quality items. I prefer things that are vintage versus new trendy things but not limiting myself to vintage only.

Cayley is the best! I have been following her for years and have learned so much. I am now in her course, Resellers Edge University and it is completely worth the investment. I wish I had joined before I started selling almost 4 years ago!

I think people still go to eBay over Whatnot because they don’t want to sit through a show and they can go on eBay and find what they are looking for no matter the time of day; they don’t have to wait for a show.

Excellent interview!! Great work you two. As a fellow Oregonian, thrift stores are tough to source and having to find new opportunities. I’ve been getting my name out everywhere and just had my first client meeting to purchase items. I’ve been thinking of going to storage units next. I’m impressed. Have to get creative for sure. Great tips!

Been Following both of you since day one. Great seeing both you of you talking about reselling together in a video. WhatNot I personally have no personality not a show person. Cayley says I dont like learning from other people haha. That would be me. I watch resellers but only take in what I believe could help possibly. A Boss always should look at change. A Boss listens to people but only does what makes sense. That Corp world is ingrained in my brain also other then I do watch vids of resellers only because I have the time. Much respect to both of you.

Its so true I had family and friends thought that I was a home maid for my wife because I I do eBay full time and with them not knowing I actually make a pretty good salary selling on eBay 😂. After showing them my numbers it was quite amazing to see there facial expressions and there perception changed very quickly. I don't really show my numbers much but when they asked to see I'll show it them to let them know you can make a decent living reselling.😅

Chris, Pam, and a couple of others on WN are the exception and managed to get permission. But in most states including mine the Goodwills have a no camera policy, and I have seen people thrown out of the Bins just for taking photos.

Do you think the individual states will crack down on live selling without an auctioneers license (the states that require it)??

Look at it differently, that thing that took you 5 years to learn vs. reading it in a book was you gaining 5 years of experience on how to implement that thing you could have read into your life. I always try to look at things in a positive way. Every struggle is there for a reason. Loved this podcast. I will be working on changing a few things in my life because of this episode.
