Thanks for sharing! I use to hike all the trails and loved so much ❤️. Around the old mansion there were secret cave crickets ha ha. Looks like they filled in the basement parts of the mansion and I’m sure for safety reasons. I always wondered if the reservoirs had things in the bottom? But thank you for sharing! There’s steps that were all hand made up to the mansion. I walked to the mansion and took selfies on the eve of 2000. I was only 43. A good education does a body good and construction work took its toll. I’m so happy for you I could cry 😢but it’s a happy cry. I also worked on keeping trails opened and when Clinton took the precise within 10 feet during his presidency he actually did. I had a etrex by far in long before cell phones, the morning of I ran out of my house just to see and he held true to his promise. I tracked around the park marking way points. The hill on the back side of the lake was the high point in the park. Thanks to Mayor Al Smith for the development of the park. Again thanks for sharing, love you for it and I love mountain biking yet if you walk the trails you’ll notice walls built along the road that leads up to the mansion. I hope you have either children or nephews and nieces you one day and share the blueberry heaven with them. Blue birds were endangered back in the day and made blue bird boxes and they used and proud to say they are no longer endangered ✨❤️🩹✨. God Bless you and all your generations that our now responsible to take care of our beautiful park. Don’t forget devils t-table on the back side of the lake! Your Nature loving friend HB ✌🏼✨🕊️✨

Boy Scouts built bird boxes out of plywood instead of PVC and they loved eating the glue in the plywood lol and when walking the lake trail the remains may still be visible. They meant well and that’s the heart ❤️. PVC with diagonal filed notches under the opening and about 30 feet away from the box paint a stick in a T form with a little blue on it helps them to slow down before entering to feed their brood.

I know I’m texting a lot but that’s the road and we kept the steps cleared off to look like new lol. I’ll stop lol. You take care and bless you!

What county are you in? I'm in Ohio and starting to look in WV. What counties do you like for off grid? Thank you.
@off-gridmountainadventures9430 Жыл бұрын
I used to live in summit county Ohio. I live in southwestern West Virginia up in the mountains but pretty much anywhere in West Virginia is long as you're about an hour or more away from a city you should be good and as long as it's unincorporated where you live you don't need no permits. Where I live on my farm we have our own cistern water collection system and filters to pump it into the house if needed, fireplaces, solar lights, and generac generators because the power goes out all the time due to fallen trees. West Virginia has some of the cheapest property taxes you will ever see Plus the price of living is about 12% cheaper than Ohio that's why I moved here. Also we can buy guns or ammo or anything to do with hunting without paying taxes that means if the gun says $199 you pay $199 that's it. Also our governor just passed a law over the next three years income tax will be cut by 50%, we no longer have to pay state tax, no longer have to pay property tax, which means more money back into our pockets. The reason they're doing all that is because they're getting ready to legalize marijuana so they will receive even more money in taxes from that

I don't know if your still around that area but we should definitely set something up to where we should go through all of those I was there yesterday and I seen a ladder and It just makes me think there's so much more to this place than the map shows. @off-gridmountainadventures94303 жыл бұрын
They're really good beginner machine but eventually you're going to want to upgrade. I mean I ride mine everyday I have access to the outlaw trails in the Pinnacle trails at the end of my road and we riding groups. Now these machines are really good but they don't have the power of the 1,000 you can't do over 45 miles an hour on a straightaway
@off-gridmountainadventures94303 жыл бұрын
You really want a 1000 because when you're going up some of these Hills you need that horsepower there's a few things that the other machines do a lot easier than my machine. I'm looking to get a upgrade again next year. Also the tires are only 26 in and what I've learned from experience you want a bigger tire I would definitely not go smaller than a 900
@off-gridmountainadventures94303 жыл бұрын
I would get like a Can-Am or a Polaris 1000 or Yamaha rmax. Then you won't ever have to upgrade
