I'm 61 and my mum and dad use to play this all the time when I was young ,I was about 10 or so and remember being fascinated at the white brail album cover . I loved that album so much even as a child, especially when you hear the very young recording s of Jose and he was a bloody genius, I knew that at 10 .

Thanks for posting this. The album appears to be a compilation put out by Pickwick. They reissued a lot of material from Capitol. Joe South, Ray Stevens, and Jerry Reed were among those who got a helping start from Bill Lowery. Ray did a good cover of this song. He also recorded some of Joe's other songs, including Games People Play. My brother had this version on an oldies 45, backed with Don't It Make You Want to Go Home.

So many memories brought back by this, including my first Timex watch (with luminous dial) aged 11. Kept it under the covers at night to see it glow. We never worried about cancer back then 😀

Jack Teagarden was one of my father's favorites. I love this song from this album in particular because of the trombone solo. He was a jazz genius.
