Thanks! This van came with a hitch installed. I am sure it's only rate to tow up to 4k pounds, but I was just using it to park. It for sure is not meant to tow this 5k trailer. I used to have a diesel transit and they are fun!!

No idea. It wasn't rolled though because the AC unit and the top is in good shape!

@@RebuiltTough Cool. Keep us posted. Best to keep Airstreams under a Roof if not traveling. Hail is their Kryptonite. Love’m. I’d never buy one again because we got nailed by Hail and it’s a big expensive mess to get fixed right.

I don't know where you got your information from, but you don't have to build anything these days. Most stuff life cabinets and etc come pre-assembled, like Ikea or Home Depot.

Thanks for dropping a comment. You only mentioned one thing out of a hundred or so things that are needed. Most of the time they need to be assembled. Just the parts alone would run much more than I'll be In this for and I'll have the 2022 airstream trailer for free to experiment with. I will also save a trailer from the dump, achieve a couple things I have had on my to do list and get the cost of my project paid for. I think we can agree that you can't go into IKEA or Home Depot, get the value I have inside this $50,000+ airstream for what I got it for. The plumbing is already set up, the electrical is set up, the batteries are there, the lighting, the fixtures, all the of the appliances. Not to be running in circles, but you get the point. Be on the lookout for my next video: Is this the cheapest way to build a luxury camper and maybe get your van for free from the profits made? PS. Can you get a roof fan from Ikea or home depot? Asking for a friend...

I totally think so! It's just the time investment and if you have the space. The electric system was probably worth 5k alone. Take that and throw it back in the auction?

Most people Don't know if item is a pure sale which means highest bidder wins, reserve means selling has a minimum he take even when you bid and win the bid didn't meet seller reserve price most people don't know how auction work ? Pure sale the only ones I buy or buy it now , your item said minium bid even if you win the seller has not got what he wants

@RebuiltTough sometimes you can use abetterbid to buy off of copart I have used them. Not sure if you are looking for a air stream 🤔 not sure if you are familiar with oliver legacy elite ll I feel is a excellent camper trailer I just watched one sell for 20k on copart they sell new 70k and up and I seen air stream base camp sell 10k I quess it's all about timing I have been very lucky on my 3 copart buys a land rover lr3 1100. Buy now a 2017 mercedes-benz sprinter 3.0 v6 cargo van 170 for 4300 and a 04 land rover discovery ll 600.00 my friends tell me to stay off copart because I have too many vehicles lots of good deals 2 of my purchase nobody bid but me one was a buy it now again it's all about timing good luck

Interesting plan, if you can get it for the right price. There may be others wanting it for parting out, which can make it somewhat more valuable. My problem would be my desire to fix it, just the way my head works :D

Lol, I agree since it is a newer year. Another idea would be to strip out the inside and then convert the airstream into a food trailer.

save it i have friend who just put an engine in his. They are junk now but i like them . I'd like to see it done

I like them too, but the body on this one is not straight. If it was, I'd invest into it to get it back into shape!
