I can't get enough of this walk. Casa Meftah will be the next place I stay at for the duration of my stay in Chefchaoun
@walkandcamera10 күн бұрын
Good idea! Make sure you mention how you found it. I stayed at Hotel Kasbah, right on the main square, since I knew for sure that I can find it. That was also a good place. Meftah is more scenic but will be harder to find.

@@ummj.2738 I saw your channel and figured it out... I'd love to make some videos in Sanaa and Shibam. Is that possible now? Good idea or bad idea?
@ummj.27386 күн бұрын
@@walkandcamera Salam, sorry about delay in replying, weekends are always hectic, they family get-togethers, so time consuming. I was in Sanaa last April (2024) after having been away since 2013. I was in a state of shock. I knew that Yemen has been at war with KSA & UAE since 2015, but I underestimated how bad things could get. As you can imagine, there were government buildings that had been bombed to smithereens & just left as a reminder to the public about war with 'the enemy'. Roads that were once tarmac were now rugged & broken, causing persistent damage to all cars, except the really hardwearing military jeeps. There is garbage everywhere, with the threat of cholera & other diseases looming large. Poverty & homelessness was rife. Thats Sanaa, the capital. If you wish to film, you would need a special permit, plus government security as well as a local guide, that will end up costing you an absolute fortune (not even including bribes of officials jumping on bandwagon) The Government (Houthis) are hostile to foreigners , seeing them all as potential spies. Thats all I can say about Sanaa. However, as for Shibam Hadramawt (there are 2 shibams: Shibam Kawkaban near Sanaa & Shibam Hadramawt) I believe its a lot safer and there's more stability there, but I've not been there myself, so I wouldn't know what to do, so I can't really offer you any advice there. Sorry about the long message, I hope it sheds some light on things for you

This is THE most beautiful video of Chefchaoun I've seen on KZbin. No distracting music, not too much talking, its almost therapeutic. Thank you for this, I've been looking for a video of this quality to show my friends & family. I'm going back to Chefchaoun in May 2025.

This is probably one of my best walks this year. You won't find anything that comes close to it as far as raw detail is concerned. The first 2 hours alone are dedicated to Marrakech's famous souk (or bazar). Everything was shot at 15mm, my widest angle, to capture as much of it as possible. If you enjoyed the video, please give it a like, share it with a friend, and subscribe for more exciting videos.

You forget that it had a large Jew community and was under the direct rule of the Austrian empire who built this city. It has a neo baroque architecture which flourished in the 20s, after the unification. So yeah it’s the work of Romanians!
