My name is Nana Kwame. I am the artisan from Nzema whom made Nana Kwame Bediako's portrait from coconut. I am here to tell the story of the Gye Nyame portrait and also the energy that inspired me so intensely to create this masterpiece. I didn't make this work for fame or to take money from Nana Kwame Bediako. I made it to neutralize the same energy that held back our great forefathers and to support him. Today, I am going to share the whole story about this Gye Nyame portrait. Gye Nyame means 'except for God,' symbolizing God's omnipotence by conveying that people should fear nothing except for God. This portrait also represents the power to turn the impossible into possible. I created this work to infuse new strength into the new force movement. The story of this Gye Nyame portrait aims to bring fresh strength to us Africans, to believe in possibility, and to trust that the dream of our forefathers has finally been realized by the new force. When you turn it upside down, it is the same person you see with the same dream, the same vision, and the same mission. When you turn it up, it is the same man, no changes. For me to help you understand the full story, let me take you back to the day when this story started to form itself. In my childhood, all I wanted to be was Superman. I had a dream to create and build new things that do not exist. So, I looked around and learned about the things in our environment. I learned a lot about Marcus Garvey, Martin Luther King, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, and a whole lot of our great forefathers. They made me believe that a black man has superpowers, and only if they believe in themselves, they can use this power to achieve everything they want. I also learned that they wanted to build a better Africa for us Africans. That led me to drop out of school at age 12 to learn more from the world I am living in. From there, I also started to search for a friend who thinks like me until 2017. I watched a program called Revealed with Bola Ray. That was the first time I saw Nana Kwame Bediako. I started watching his videos. I did not got inspired by his worth, I got inspired by seeing the energy of turning impossible things to be possible. I found the Pan Africa energy in him, I saw the same energy I am having in him. It was like Nana Kwame Bediako was living in me because all my childhood plans for a better future for Africans were what he is doing. In 14 years back I had a dream to build my own empire and logo, he his living that dream. I had a dream to build an organization called Africa New View, he has also built a New Africa. That made me believe Nana Kwame Bediako will accomplish the mission of our forefathers. So in 2018, I told my brother that Nana Kwame Bediako will one day become the president of Ghana and also unite Africa. How I put things together to build this masterpiece and how I took it to him also tells a story of turning impossible things into possible. The day I watched videos of some journalists trying to get bad news about him is the day I planned to build the Gye Nyame portrait, I did not have any money to start. I said to myself, 'It is time to turn impossible into possible.' So, I sold my phone to start. I finished the work, brought it to Accra 3 times, and slept on the street for 2 weeks for the first time. The work got dirtied, and I had no money to go back and fix it. So, I applied the energy of turning impossible into possible. I couldn't rest; it was like someone was sitting on my shoulder, pressing me hard. I fixed it and had to come back again, so I sold my mother's phone to return. I was on the street of Accra, wearing a new force mask with stickers going up and down portraying the meaning of the art work and looking for connections to meet him. I did that for three days, sleeping on the street. My plan didn't work, so I had to go back to my hometown. I had no money for transportation, so I had to apply the energy of turning impossible into possible. I moved around asking for money for transportation. On my last visit, which was the third time, I sold my girlfriend's phone to return to Accra. I went through a lot because I have the ability to turn the impossible into possible. I was able to give it to his wife. I am glad to share this story to let Ghanaians and Africans to know Nana Kwame Bediako has a good heart and great wisdom to serve and build better Africa for we all, let stand with him for he have the strength to turn impossible things into possible.
