Newer kit came with 8 cleaner wipes (4 for each headlight) interesting that you added the isopropyl alcohol wipe step I did my two headlight buckets a few days ago out of the car,I think they were a bit worse than yours (20 year old WJ jeep) one with Sylvania,one with Cerakote like yours,the Sylvania one looks better than the Cerakote restoration but both much better than they started and the Cerakote clear may very well last longer than the more transparent Sylvania clear Sylvania had you use circular motions not back and forth for sanding,I think that worked better,also the Sylvania has an extra polishing compound step after the sanding is done which I think helps probably good to rinse down the sanding debris repeatedly during the sanding step and between grits so you can see and go back to where it needs more sanding wiped dry with a clean cloth after all the cleaning/polishing steps are done and given a half hour or more to be perfectly dry? I'd be a bit wary of putting isopropyl on it after the final sandings or polishings (Sylvania gave "surface activator" liquid to be sprayed on the lens after the polishing was over and allowed 30+ seconds to sit on lens then washed off with water before the final drying,that stuff might have alcohol in it) [they also tell you to use the "special white towel" they provide for the final drying] [wait a half hour or so after it looks all the way dry just to make sure?] I think the final finish clear coat or protectant glamour glaze or whatever it is should be wiped on quite slowly to allow some of it to get absorbed by the plastic from the special towellette I agree you don't want any moisture or condensation to get near that thing for at least the first overnight after the glaze is put on With the bucket out of the car a good time to replace all of the lightbulbs and "halogen capsules" in it? Especially on a 20 year old car with the original bulbs still in it and the amber color flaking off some of the bulbs? If the headlight bucket held in the car partially by ball studs and springy clips (and a safety jackscrew) a good idea to put Syl- Glyde or some other kind of grease on those studs before reinstalling the headlight

Those two spacer looking things do have a purpose. Revise the instructions
@Meanmachine.ms34 ай бұрын
The two thick spacers that comes with the kit are for the rear shocks. Place one spacer on each side at the bottom of the rear shock, and then place the bolt. The spacers are meant to hold the bottom portion of the rear shock so it doesn’t move left and right or doesn’t feel loose when driving .

So yours has been fine? No whistling noise or not able to go over 1500 psi on your hpfp (issues i had with mine) I tried 4 different sensors including 5053 and none worked, different issues with each. The only one that would work is the oem 5006 sensor, had to buy a used oem fuel rail to get the sensor. These cars are weird sometimes.
@Meanmachine.ms37 ай бұрын
I’ve had the sensor installed for more than 5 months , and the car is still running with literally no issues whatsoever. No leaks at all , no hesitation at all , and no check engine lights or codes. I’m not sure why I’m receiving a lot of complaints regarding this sensor, but it’s been working fine with me . If it doesn’t work for you , then yes try to find an OEM one that’s been used. Dealerships will try to sell you the entire fuel rail with the sensor , they don’t sell the sensor by itself unfortunately. I’m sorry you had to go through this brother .

Try to just buy the window motor only. And see if that fixes the problem, if not, then you’ll need to buy the window regulator and hopefully it solves your problem fixing the window.

Thanks for posting! My advice would be to remove the speaker early, it allows easy reach behind the door panel. Also the wire harness clips can be undone using a pointed knife on the inside which releases a clip (like a zip tie) then use flat head screw drive to push the tongue of clip backward to release. Finally the red locking clip on the wire harness in the door frame just needed a bit more of a tug, needle nose pliers will do it, then the wires come out pretty easily. Again, thx for posting.
@Meanmachine.ms37 ай бұрын
Thank you for letting me know about the red clip. I was just extremely nervous to break it and being able to fix it or find a replacement for it. I’m a very meticulous person and don’t like these types of fragile things to be broken to be honest with you. But I appreciate the advice and kind words.

Bosch part failed on mine and went back to oem. I would recommend just unplugging the negative terminal on the battety while you replace the sensor. Theres no need to pull and fuses.
@Meanmachine.ms37 ай бұрын
Thanks for letting me know and I’m sorry that your part has failed. I’ve had mine installed since January, so it’s been more than 4 months and the car is still running strong and I’ve had zero issues whatsoever. The reason why I pulled the fuse is to make sure that there is no fuel in the fuel rail and no fuel leaks when removing the sensor. That’s all.

so glad to see that this stuff "protects" your paint.......
@Meanmachine.ms38 ай бұрын
Yes , the only good thing about this wrap is that it definitely provides great protection to your paint since it is thicker than its competitors. If you do see some rock chips in the hood , that has been sanded by me on purpose to smooth the surface so it doesn’t show underneath the wrap . But other than that, it did an excellent job overall.

I used this kit last year and my headlights are yellow again to be honest I only wash my car like 2 times a year and it is outside 24/7 so that may be a factor but but time to do them again
@Meanmachine.ms38 ай бұрын
Yeah the kit doesn’t last forever but it does last longer than any other brand I have tested . I suggest after applying the kit to install Paint Protection Film once the ceramic clear coat is fully dried . That way you don’t have to worry about doing it again in the future. Which is what I did to my personal vehicle.

Awesome video bro! Quick question: how much did it cost you in total for the wrap?
@Meanmachine.ms38 ай бұрын
Thank you so much. If you’re interested buying a full roll of wrap which will cover the entire car , usually it’s about 60ft of paper which cost me around $500. Plus tools such as heat gun, squeegee, knifeless tape, sharp blade, scissors, gloves, and etc… costs around $60.
