Seen these first supporting Free in about 1970 at the belfry it was a great gig . I went on to see them many times over the years supporting Judas Priest & maiden it’s just a shame we all have to get old.

I saw them many times in the 70s at the Glasgow Apollo. I was also at this gig & it was excellent. Sad news about Paul Raymond passing only about 2 weeks after this gig.

Isn't it called "THE SWEET" now ?

No, I think Steve Priest's former band mates are using The Sweet...but they're just a bad cover band. The official band is just Sweet.

Great bands ruined by the acoustics of a fkin awful venue. Priest at least sounded slightly better. Waste if money other than where else can we see our heroes? Even then most folk needed binoculars.

Great bands, abosolutely bollocks sound. I as there. A waste of good money this is detroying hard rock and heavy metal as well as live music. Not the band... it is the venue.
@jimgoodall78377 ай бұрын
I totally agree with you. The only time I've heard decent sound from there, was when I was nearer the roof!!!

The Priest, a superb band, Saxon and Uriah Heep also great bands, if not just as good. If you think this sound quality is either acceptable both at this concert (which i was at at) or in this video, there is something seriously wrong with your hearing. This quality undermines live music and the hard rock heavy metal genre. No wonder folk think Heavy Metal and hard Rock fans are idiots. It is easily the worst concert sound wise, i have been to in the last 3 years and amongst the worst in over 55.Only Alter Bridge sound wise, were worse. Uriah Heep maybe are amongst my favourite bands of all time and the sound last night was worse than crap. There is little future in music if bands put such effort into a show yet venues think this is acceptable. Money may talk but so does mine.
@stevenlornie12617 ай бұрын
You're right, the sound was bad. What happened at Alter Bridge?
@rsqyoung7 ай бұрын
@stevenlornie1261 I walked out as the Mrs couldn't stand any more. The first band were sorta ok, Theory of a Deadman. Black stone cherry were poor and Alter Bridge as bad if not worse. So disappointed. At least Judas Priest had slightly better sound than Saxon and Heep. I've seen Uriah Heep in small venues and they are fkin awesome.

@@rsqyoung Oh, that's not good. Was it the performance or just the sound? I thought Saxon sounded better personally haha.
