Hello Ms Marie! It is called HEAT TRANSFER VINYL (HTV). Basically, the adhesive at the back activates as it is heated. For your second question: it is a PARCHMENT PAPER, this is to protect the HTV from heat.

What did you clean the cup with before applying the vinyl?

Hello there! I used rubbing alcohol to clean the cup. By cleaning the cup, it would help the vinyl adhere more to the cup simply by removing the visible debris, fingerprints and the oils from our hands.

Hello there! I just whipped out the good old ruler and got the dimensions from the Kindle. Under the Edit tab, we can enter our dimensions manually in either cm or inches.

The editing was too fast for me to follow how you separated the "i" from the other letters so you could put the dot where it needed to go! I have to make a topper on my Cricut Joy that says "Ellie" without losing the dot! Can you PLEASE explain?

Surely! First, based on the video, I typed in the word Eliot and then hit enter and then I typed in small letter I. Thereafter, I selected the whole text and clicked “Advanced” and then clicked “Ungroup to Letters.” After that, I selected the “letter I” from the word Eliot and select “Contour” and hide dot of the letter I. And then let’s proceed on the second “Letter I.” I then selected the second letter I and then select Contour and this time, I hide the stem of my letter I. After all of those, I selected the dot from the 2nd “I” and move it to the word Eliot and place it on the top of the stem of the 1st letter “I.” After that, I selected the whole word and select “Attach” and make it! I hope my instructions/ narrations made sense. Happy crafting my dear!

Hello there. No, they don't, but you should follow certain rules to be able to retain your mug design. Before attaching your vinyl, prepare your mug first by cleaning the surface with alchol to remove visible dirt and grime. After attaching your vinyl, let it cure for at least 48 hours before using it. Once done, there are some care tips to follow. Do not soak your mug in water. Do not microwave and it is not dishwasher safe.

Hello, I do not seal them. Basically, I do the prep work (cleaning the mug with alcohol to remove visible debris) for the vinyl to adhere properly. And let the vinyl cure for 48 hours before using your mug.

I hope you love watching the video! Basically once you've placed your vinyl and let it cure for 48 hours before using, the vinyl decal will last permanently. Since the vinyl is still a sticker, in any case that you intentionally peel it off, it can be peeled off the mug. But if you let it be it will stay permanently.

Hello my dear!!! I used Oracal for my vinyl. That is my go to brand whenever I produce personalized clear mugs. For transfer tape, to be economical, I use Clear Book Tape as my transfer tape. It works wonders! As per the t-shirts, usually for Heat Transfer Vinyls (HTV), the vinyl comes with the carrier sheet. I am not sure what kind of transfer sheet you used...Maybe it is a Strong Grip Transfer Sheet (to be used for Glittered and Textured Vinyls.)
