Frank O'Farrell signed Bobby Kellard from Bristol City and he was really tough midfield player who could pass the ball too.Then Frank left to manage Man United and Jimmy Bloomfield came to manage us from Orient and first thing he did was to get rid of Kellard to Crystal Palace. I could never understand that because Kellard was the leader on the pitch that we lacked.

They were the fittest team in England at the time.

All we see is 90 mins on the pitch. What the players go through in a week is hurrendous

Some of my favourites here: Bobby Kellard, Rodney Fern, John Farrington, Len Glover, Graham Cross, Steve Whitworth & David Nish. This must have been the old Second Division winning season 1970/71.
