Hi, just a quick correction. The second option for the informer (11:36) allows the player to peek at one of the Troops or Ships tokens where they have presence and chose to flee from that place to another where he is not. Cheers!

This review is very helpful for me. I haven't played this game, but I've been eyeing it and was preparing to spend the cash to get it (it's not cheap here). I watch review after enthusiastic review of it and the hype in my mind is going out of control. Your two perspectives helped me get a grip on my expectations for this game especially the part where you were debating on the "combat". I don't know if I'm going to get it at this point - I still might - but I like making decisions with a level head and not one on emotion which I think I was doing up until I watched this. Don't know if you're still making videos, but I do appreciate this one!

If I didn't already know how to play this game, this video would not have been able to teach me. You clearly have a good grasp of how to play, I just couldn't follow your instructions.

You said that aircraft and tanks don’t do anything special... you forgot that you already mentioned that they can move extra spaces to reach an area to fight in during a Blitz action (two moves for tanks, three for aircraft).

I don’t think you can move via trade routes in Deluxe. That’s an ‘Expansion’ rule. Now everything needs a transport.

When you say "greater than #" for the dice rolls, is it "Equal to or greater" or "only greater than" i.e. if it states 4, can you count a 4,5,6 or can you only count 5,6?

Looks like they made the risk-on-steroids previous version into something rather more akin to a Euro, with its action selection, the victory point schedule, and the way the techs work. I think I like the idea. I would expect that it is not as satisfying with two players as with a higher count (boardgamegeek's entry lists it as 'best for 5'), and indeed I am surprised you found it entertaining in that form. Good overview.

Whilst this does seem to cover most of the rules, I found this video quite difficult to follow. Certain errata added as captions were impossible to read in the time they were up for whilst other rules were still being explained. Maybe this would be sufficient as a recap for someone who has already played the game.

I know the board is big and you want to zoom in on certain spots, but the constant back and forth between the main board and the player board is enough to get seasick.

In the expansion EE there is a specific card which states that you should place a green marker 5 TU later. My question: can the character make dice checks or is the character "to busy" and therefor out of the game?

Thanks this helped a lot. I have one question though. At the bottom right there is a Fenrir Cub but there isnt a space for a ship above it, only an outline for what looks like a smaller card. How do I fight that creature and what is supposed to go in that outline for a small card???? I didnt see you mention it in your video. Cheers!

how do you put the actual board together is it random or do you follow a guide? there is practically no information on this in the rule book? they could have put a blow up up of examples in the book? I have never played one of these games in my life the lack of description in the rule book is off putting
