I’m a fan of slow mo wrecks and all, but what it this actually testing or proving? DOT is just going to replace the screen anyway.
@the_bencredible Жыл бұрын
The screen is to prevent people from gaining access to a roadway. They are testing the crash worthiness of it. I assume DOT doesn’t want screen sections flying in to people and vehicles in the event of an accident. So they are testing it against various vehicles that use the roadway where the screen is being installed.

This company seems really awesome. Everything I’ve just seen seems like exactly what I would want to see if I were building bike lanes in a city. The responses to comments left even answered most of my immediate questions. I’ll definitely be sending this to some people in my city that can consider these kinds of things to show them just how easy this really is.

What did you add at 1:53 ?
@TranspoIndustries2 жыл бұрын
Aggregate is mixed in at 1:53. I do not know the specific mix of aggregate used here. The type and size of aggregate is specified depending on the end use -bike lane, bus lane, pedestrian use etc.

I think the world should use the color scheme i know from Cities Skylines. Red - Bus, Taxi and Tram lanes. Green - Bike lanes. Blue - Pedestrian crossings and paths. So everyone knows which color is for which lane.

Nah, red for bikes looks cooler. Like in the netherlands.

This particular installation does not have reflective beads. Reflective beads can be added to Color-Safe.

it's fucking dumb expensive and it's basically only used for bike lanes traditional markings or thermo are better options imo
