LG
@Ahpeku3 ай бұрын

Dear Alexandra, we are currently working on an iOS version for the iPad. We will announce its release on our website www.peeb-bagpipes.com over the following months. It might also make sense for you to sign up to our newsletter (also available through the above mentioned website). Lastly, feel free to follow us on Facebook, where we regularly post videos and updates regarding peeb. Thank you :)

This looks good, but I fear that it might have latency issues on some phones, making it unplayable... Would you consider making a free version to allow the users to try it before buying? Maybe the free version could allow the user to play only the lower hand, and if they want both hands they have to purchase the pro version. Just an idea :)
@DudelsackAkademie3 жыл бұрын
Hey Fabio! Thanks a lot for your message and impulse :) On some Android based phones there may be a latency issue to varying degrees. We have already excluded some models on which peeb does not run smoothly. However, in most cases you should be ok! Feel free to email us using [email protected] and send the name of the maker of your current phone and the model details. We can let you know from our experience whether it should work or not. Furthermore, we are working on a free trial version, maybe it will be available already in December. Best wishes!

Hi Fabio ! If you look in the Play Store now - you can find the free Trial version !! Best wishes from the peeb-Team !

I think there should be a part of piobaireachd competition called, "if you cannae sing it, you shouldnae be playin' it"... It's so sad how many self-styled pipers there are who truly actively hate this beautiful old tradition (of course they hate it; so many pipers are illiterate even with standard notation... Cantaireachd makes their heads explode lol). So many bagpipe guys are perfectly content to play nothing but "Green Hills" and other famous UBR... It reminds me of fake piano players playing "Heart and Soul"... Bunka-plinkey bunka-plinkey (etc) "derf derf derf... A derfy derfy doo"... You know what I mean... Barf! In my opinion, Ceol Mor should be cherished on the same level as Indian folks cherish their classical music (raag/sangeet)... Instead, piobar-rockers are banished to early morning "fringe" status... At our own games even!

Truthfully, I can usually only stand a few minutes of Piobaireachd before I glaze over. This is very pleasant to listen to, though.
@thegreenmage69562 жыл бұрын
The bagpipes themselves have nothing Celtic about them, as a Persian war instrument played in Spain and England before even arriving in Scotland. The traditions, however, preserved through the pipes could be truly ancient and certainly should be considered the ultimate Native Traditional British music, just as Indian classical is valued. But this would necessitate some infrastructure not yet in place. But there are some who would see this done…

I love this canntaireachd! Being blind I can't see the visuals, but I can tell it's sung in the key of C. Is it the "er" vowel like the word "her", or is tit "uh", like in "up", that designates the E? I thought "er" but I may be wrong. I use similar canntaireachd phonetics when teaching friends about pipes. Wonderful.
