After the last 3-4 beautiful Chinese-Dramas, this “Standing in the Time” was quite disappointing. As often in Chinese dramas, the first part was extremely boring and without content. In fact half of the episode were useless. The 2 things we did not like were: 1. the superficial, selfish, overbearing, manipulative values we were sent. We don't know whether it is due to the fashion environment, or whether it is a matter of Chinese culture. We think more of the first probability. 2. the strong contrast given to us by the 4 main characters: From one side, seeing a small child packed into the body of an adult (ZHOU ZI MO) is not a good thing. The more successful he was, the more superficial, arrogant and selfish he became. Horrible! Also on this side was the other selfish, manipulative and cunning XIA FAN, who did everything solely for her own account. On the other hand, 2 moving, good, patient and altruistic characters like LI XIAO and WU YU, who did everything to help, receiving nothing. Usually we are happy when Dramas end with happy-ends, but this time to be honest, even a non-happy-end would have suited us. ZHOU ZI MO and XIA FAN did not deserve LI XIAO and WU YU's forgiveness and approval. A C-Drama with too much negative content that does not correspond to our European culture and values. regards from Italy
