At 1.09, Paul's letter to the Thessalonians is mentioned in repect to the 'falling away' as your translation states and you attribute this 'falling away' to be the tribulation. I think Paul is referring here, not to the church, but to the world - 'those are perishing'. For, the Greek word used here is 'apostasia' which means to rebel/revolt and this is referring to a resurrected rebellion which first took place at Babel. And not either a falling away of the church or the rapture. Also, the significance of the numbers is given to identify qualities of the characters and are; The number seven in scripture is symbolic of completion/complete/whole. So when it refers to the 'seven churches', it is regard the complete/whole church. When it is specified that the beast of Rev 13:1 had 'seven heads' it is a reference to it being the COMPLETE chrinological line (lineage) throughout history of the Gentile kingdoms (Daniel) which were to come and unite the world in rebelliin to God, as which happened at Babel. The number ten is symbolic for 'government'. And the significance of the 'ten kings' is a world unified government, again, as the unity which was attempted at Babel. Cheers

Yes, it is a resurrected Babel. This is my view, for what it is worth and for who would view it. The antichrist/the man of lawlessness is not a 'man' - singular. It is 'man preminent'. The phrase, 'man of lawlessness' etc, is the use of 'personification'. Likewise, Rev 13:18 is not referring to 'a' singular man. There is no 'a' in the Greek text. It should be translated as man/mankind/humankind. Some translations have correctly ascribed it this way, though not many. This error has been propagated through erroneous tradition throughout Christendom. It is mankind/humankind - a united kingdom of man, himself, as at Babel, united in rebellion against God the Creator and his Messiah. 2 Thess 2:4, 'He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God', is speaking metaphorically. It is to say that he man/mankind will think himself superior to everything. His version of what is truth opposes the Word of God. The keys are given in the book of Revelation itself. *It is a kingdom 'which once was (at Babel), now is not (at John's time of writing) but will come again (in the last days), Rev 17:11. *It is the kingdom that is 'an eighth kingdom, which belongs to the seven'. The seven is the chronological complete beast of Gentile kingdoms which were prphesied to come, through Daniel, and unite the world in rebellion (apostasia) to God as first attempted at Babel where God said, if they be united like this, as one, nothing will be impossible for them. It is the resurrected kingdom of Babel, signifed by being assigned the number eight, since the number eight represents resurrection, a one world government where mankind becomes his own lord and master of his own destiny. *It is the kingdom 'which was wounded by the sword, yet lived', when God went down to Babel and 'wounded man/mankind's effort to unite, as one, by confusing his language and dispersing him over the face of the earth. Man/mankind has his own gospel to preach to the world, which opposes the Word of God; liberty, equality and fraternity, apart from God. His gospel blasphemes the Word of God calling it archaic, barbaric and even unrighteous. The word of man purports to save humankind apart from God and his Christ, Jesus. I was a member of a church where there was a word from the Lord about the Pastor. It was "Phil has the keys to the kingdom. Listen to him." but one Elder went around the church picking out one person after another and disagreeing with everything the Pastor said. Phil heard about it and called for a vote of support. He only got 70% support so he packed up and left. The other Elders left as well and that church no longer exists. I have seen three churches collapse. Two were caused by Elders and one when the Pastor broke down and resigned. A Pastor needs to have a strong leadership around him.

While I have enjoyed many of your teachings, I was dismayed at your remarks about John MacArthur being a Covenant Theologist. He absolutely is NOT. Additionally, you stated he does not have any notes in his study Bible about the 144,000. That is false. He has several. Hopefully I misinterpreted what you had to say. In 1976 when I was born again, Chuck Missler was until he died one of my most favorite teaches. I was very disappointed when he died. Hopefully I will join him with Jesus soon.

If we look at the end of Eze 39 we see a set of conditions that can only be true at a particular time in history. God rescues Israel at the battle of Armageddon. So that makes the end of the Gog battle (Eze 39) line up with the timing of Armageddon. That makes Gog the AntiChrist which we see hinted at in Eze 38. Eze 38:17 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them? God says the prophets of Israel wrote about Gog in their writings. This defines Gog as the AC since Armageddon is where God defeats the AC and company which is also the Gog war. When we search the OT for a battle in Israel that God defeats the enemies arrayed against Israel with Israel returning to the Lord for ever after. We find such descriptions in the Day of the Lord scriptures from the OT. The DOTL scriptures end with God defeating the armies invading Israel and Israel returning to the Lord for ever after just as we see in Eze 39. Peace, PTT

from what I understand is that when the question was asked that who is to open the scroll there was no-one in heaven on earth ect because at that moment Jesus was ascending to heaven so John was looking in the past as well as the future because Jesus was already in heaven when John wrote revelations and when Jesus went up to heaven he was given the scroll and what I understand is that the opening of the scroll has been echoing through time so my question is was John looking at the past and future at the same time ? hope this makes sense
