A quick visit to the Canadian National War Museum in early 2023. When I arrived, one of the people welcoming me asked if I'd been there before, and I replied, "Yes, but a long time ago - it was in the old building." "Was that back in the 80's?" "It might have been even before." On my way out, I ran into her again, and she asked what I thought. I told her that it's an incredible museum - and it is, unmissable if you're anywhere near Ottawa - but that I wasn't sure that I completely enjoyed it, "But that's kind of the point, isn't it?" and she replied something along the lines of, 'Then you got the whole message of our museum, thank you." Lest we forget.

Any truth to the legend that Worthington bought them as scrap since the US was neutral at the time, only to find that when they were delivered they were thoughtfully packed full of spares and manuals?

It's hard to understand the Industrial Nature of the Great War. Narrow Gauge Railway Lines would be assembled as if they were a child's HO Train-set, so they could transport Men & Material from the Standard [Broad] Gauge Railways to the Front. And yes, those C Cab Trucks that used Solid Tires & had a top speed of thirty five miles per hour were just as primitive as those Steam Powered Narrow Gauge Locomotives...

As much as I admired, respected and was inspired by Mr. Moriyama, hecstill owed my father and I an apology. Especially me. He falsely accused my father and misjudged our character. To this day, that, affected me as a vulnerable shy young teen. He humiliated me. That humiliation effected my self worth and self image on into my adult lufe. It took me years to realuze just how much that hurt me. When one of your heroes, misjudged who you are, it has a truly devastating impact.
