To wash my stencils. I lay them flat in a bowl of soapy water. Using a nail brush, I gently clean the stencil. Never use your hands as some of the metal stencils have pointed parts. After, I take it out. Lay it on my table on a muslin cloth and gently pat dry. Hope this helps.
