Bob was such a great writer. The inflection and soothing melodies sets him apart from everybody. Music just naturally flows from him, never struggling to write a song. There is a reason why he is the King seen.

"The birth of reggae" ??? Bob Marley played just a tiny part in the evolution of Jamaican music. Many artists , musicians and producers played their part over many years.
@TuanizMusic4 күн бұрын
LOL. Yes Joe Higgs, and many others helped create the sound but Bob Marley played the biggest part by far in the evolution of Jamaican music inna yard and worldwide. He sold more than 20 million records throughout his career-making him the first international superstar to emerge from Jamaica and introducing the world to not only reggae, but Rastafari.

@@TuanizMusicYou mean Bob M & the wailers? There was no BOB M without the Wailers like Peter Tosh & Bunny W. So give credit & application to the original band members. What about Peter Tosh contribution to Reggea music? Remember there wouldn't be Michael Jackson without the Jackson Five. There wouldn't be Bob Marley without Rita Marley. Thank you Sir

The birth of reggae? Says who ?
@TuanizMusic5 күн бұрын
"In the early 1960s, Marley formed the band "The Wailers" with Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer, and together they pioneered the reggae sound that would captivate the world. Marley's lyrics often focused on social and political issues, advocating for the rights of the oppressed and spreading messages of hope and freedom."
@jimmyandtheresurrection72474 күн бұрын
@@TuanizMusic you had other singers who were doing the same thing with the music same as wailers (bob,peter and bunny)But it's just that wailers got the intl exposure. Singers like Justin hands,jimmy cliff,big youth, heptones,toots and the maytels, stranger cole, joe higgs,scratch perry and others. I'm a wailers fan still. But wailers were not the only ones who developed the music.
@TuanizMusic4 күн бұрын
@@jimmyandtheresurrection7247 Correct. And after helping create the genre he became the first International superstar from Jamaica and brought not only reggae music to the world, but Rastafari as well.
@jimmyandtheresurrection72474 күн бұрын
@@TuanizMusic that's exactly what I said. But at that time it wasn't bob Marley and the wailers. Just wailers (bob,peter and bunny) .And it wasn't bob only that brought this music to the world Peter tosh also. But peter being too militant was sidelined. Bunny sayed at home.
@TuanizMusic4 күн бұрын
@@jimmyandtheresurrection7247 Correct. There were various artists that helped create the reggae sound and bring it to the world in the beginning but none came anywhere close to Bob Marley in terms of influence, impact and visibility, making him perhaps the most recognizable and universally loved musical artist worldwide of all time to this day. His legacy cannot be underestimated.
