Great video, but.. Do you find a problem with how the high c fits at the nut?
@low_pitched0143
@low_pitched0143 2 ай бұрын
Thank you for your comment ! 😃 I received some similar comments in the past. As of my opinion, I did not change the nut and have not found any issues on my bass guitar and sound. However, one thing I want you to know is the "position of the peg." As you can see, the position of the peg for the 1st string on my bass is closest to the nut. This is why I was able to attach guitar strings to the bass as well. However, if the position of the peg for the 1st string on your bass is located further away, it may not be possible to reach it with a regular guitar string.

Thank you for your comment.✨ Yes It depends the position of the peg on your bass. The peg of 1st string of the bass guitar that I used in this video positions on very close to the neck. So I could do use the regular guitar string but if not, I might need to buy an extra long guitar string😅

@low_pitched0143
@low_pitched0143 Жыл бұрын
Although I can not 100% for sure, you can do this on your TRBX 305. The most important point is peg position for "1st string" vs the length of guitar string. Seeing TRBX 305, its peg position is at the nearest postion to finger board (not like the farest postion of Fender bass), so it would be possible 😃Give it a try !

If your "slap practice roads" do not make progress as you have expected, I recommend you to carry out [ very fine strings height adjustment ] over and over again (the best way would be bring it to music shop ) because the slightest difference of those figures (±0.5mm or something) makes a big difference for your playing. Thank you so much for your detail and informative message ! 😊 Surly enough, Jaco & (his) Weather Report is my all-time favorite, but I have to tell you I had no chance to check other musicians that you put on the list, but I will keep them in my mind, thank you so much ! ❤ OK, my "real" favorite band is [Japanese fusion bands ] that is [T-SQUARE] and [CASIOPEA] (if you never heard of them, please check in KZbin by those band name) whose music I have been listening for almost 30 years ! In this regard, I really think I'm quite lucky that I could reach to the music that I really like. Anyway, thank you for your kind attention and hope to keep in touch with you !

@@low_pitched0143 thanks I'll look into your recommendations. I'm in the UK so it's nice to explore a similar passion from someone as far away geographically.. Just to say, I started my Weather Report listening under the Pastorious era,, being a drummer at the time, I like the interplay he had with Peter Erskine also how tight he was with Zawinul, but now having explored all that, I've returned to their more earlier music, 'I sing the body Electric' is very high quality and I just heard the first album just recently so that's one I need to listen more to Also just around the time I started listening to them Jaco had left but they were so new to me then, that I didn't realise the significance he had.. Anyway in 83' I saw them play with the 'Procession' line up who had Victor Bailey playing bass, he was understated compared to Jaco but quite funky, not too much though ,.. Maybe I can recommend him too, in fact Procession is great bringing a fantastic drummer Omar Hakim to the world 😉

@@libre-tad6283 Wow, since I listened "Weather Report @ Jaco" era only, your comments sounds very interesting, the drummer's history and their first album ... surly, all the members are so talented and their sounds quality is unbelievable they are in 70-80s ! (Now I listen to their"8:30"😄) Yes, I checked Victor Bailey's work in his WR days and I totally agree that he is underestimated ... but he must have been under tremendous pressure after Jaco 💦 Anyway, it is so nice to have someone like you who shares the similar musical backgrounds and interests ! Thank you for checking my other videos !! 😄

Hi,welcome to bass guitar world !! I hope you will go through wonderful experience and feeling that waiting ahead of you 😄 Concerning the strings, I usually use DA'darrio 0.45-1.00 type, when I have important stage. On this video, this strings are attached too. But for a regular daily practice purpose, none-brand strings are enough for me. I would purchase them at Amazon whose selection and delivery service is quite satisfactory . (Sorry, I could not understand what do you mean by "hand order"...) If there's anything unclear, could you post another message again ? Thank you ! ✨

@@low_pitched0143 I was just asking which hand plays which string and in which order. Sorry for any confusion.

@@rifleman7313 Sorry for my misunderstandings.. Since I'm not good at creating TAB thing and paste it on KZbin, it is quite challenging to indicate what string I play on each phrase, so I have to tell you take the each position from this video. Just for your information, I slap on 3rd (A) and 4th (E) strings, while I pluck 1st (G) string only.

Backing track is WAY too loud and buries the bass line.

Thank you for your comment ! Yes, the sound of drum machine may be too loud. If you don't mind, please check the [part 2] of this video, which I didn't use it. 😀 kzbin.info/www/bejne/g16ycpiaiticeM0
