Great video, but.. Do you find a problem with how the high c fits at the nut?
@low_pitched01432 ай бұрын
Thank you for your comment ! 😃 I received some similar comments in the past. As of my opinion, I did not change the nut and have not found any issues on my bass guitar and sound. However, one thing I want you to know is the "position of the peg." As you can see, the position of the peg for the 1st string on my bass is closest to the nut. This is why I was able to attach guitar strings to the bass as well. However, if the position of the peg for the 1st string on your bass is located further away, it may not be possible to reach it with a regular guitar string.

The A Guitar string has to be extra long or long scale, right?
@low_pitched01439 ай бұрын
Thank you for your comment.✨ Yes It depends the position of the peg on your bass. The peg of 1st string of the bass guitar that I used in this video positions on very close to the neck. So I could do use the regular guitar string but if not, I might need to buy an extra long guitar string😅
This is exacly what I do for me 6string. I buy single guitarA strings. One can get ripped off, or start using some grey matter. Well done m8.
@low_pitched0143 Жыл бұрын
Thank you for checking abs letting me know your current "secret " 😄 Yes, when we get down to it, it's a matter of just a "diameter of strings"... Be cool, mate. 😊
Although I can not 100% for sure, you can do this on your TRBX 305. The most important point is peg position for "1st string" vs the length of guitar string. Seeing TRBX 305, its peg position is at the nearest postion to finger board (not like the farest postion of Fender bass), so it would be possible 😃Give it a try !

I’m excited to try out these techniques! I noticed in part 1 and part 2 here you have accidentally said “harmonic” when I think you mean “hammer on”. A harmonic is when you lightly touch a string without pressing it down and pluck it to get a ringing high note (e.g. fret 5 works).

If your "slap practice roads" do not make progress as you have expected, I recommend you to carry out [ very fine strings height adjustment ] over and over again (the best way would be bring it to music shop ) because the slightest difference of those figures (±0.5mm or something) makes a big difference for your playing. @@low_pitched0143 thanks I'll look into your recommendations. I'm in the UK so it's nice to explore a similar passion from someone as far away geographically.. Just to say, I started my Weather Report listening under the Pastorious era,, being a drummer at the time, I like the interplay he had with Peter Erskine also how tight he was with Zawinul, but now having explored all that, I've returned to their more earlier music, 'I sing the body Electric' is very high quality and I just heard the first album just recently so that's one I need to listen more to Also just around the time I started listening to them Jaco had left but they were so new to me then, that I didn't realise the significance he had.. Anyway in 83' I saw them play with the 'Procession' line up who had Victor Bailey playing bass, he was understated compared to Jaco but quite funky, not too much though ,..
