For us in the Gulf they have to be 14in, this guys was close to 18. One of the best tasting fish in this area.

Dealign with David the owner at Champion marine is a nightmare all around. The guy is crook! just look up his better business reviews under outpost marine, its the same guy. I told Clearwater boats I would not buy the 28 unless its with another dealer.

I agree with you on this point. Unless you’re fishing in deep water or have some sort of disability or physical condition preventing you from normal rod and reel, it might not be worth it. Thanks for watching.

If you are right handed you hold the pole in the right and the winder is o n the left that way you don't have to put that pole from left to right and vice wersa all the time. Most of you Americans have the wrong set up. I don't know why you guys do this. 0 common sense.

Definately need longer shaft, no way this would work in even worse conditions, you chose bare minimum 12" waterline probably, hopefully are not regretting it, I wished a shaft exchange was possible for you if you could figure out if that would fit on your install cause no way you could fish with that without being annoyed?

To be honest 4 years into it and I am very happy. The longer shaft would be too big for this boat. If it was a perfect it it was another 5 to 10 inches. But 84” shaft is just too long for a boat this size.

For bass fishing I use a 7’ toadfish fast action rod. We finally got some good rain in Sarasota so the ponds are ready for some bass fishing. Going to make a few freshwater videos planned. Thanks for your support!

Red Grouper get worms because they dig in the sand to build their burrows. I dont ever see worms in gag scamp or any other snapper. ajs will get them really bad on the east coast

@Zyl0n_yt funny you mention that! I am heading to the skyway bridge next week to shoot a video with it. I will be posting it shortly. I think it can handle most fish took it offshore on a night trip and got grouper and mangrove snapper with it.

I bought the 400 8:1 for musky fishing. after about 4 hours of casting musky lures (2-6oz), the gears inside started to make terrible grinding noises. It was really quiet for a little while but after about 3 hours, it became noisy, while casting and reeling in. the tensioner knob that ticked, doesnt tick anymore, to keep it from bird nest was tightened all the way up to max where i couldnt spin it anymore. I was getting bird nest after bird nest. So that broke as well as I couldn't control the spindle from spinning too fast when casting. Great looking reel but everything inside broke. I'll be returning it. Stick to my Abu, Daiwa and Okuma reels. thought i would give them a shot and it will be returned.

Man that sucks!! Maybe you got a lemon! I have used mine in saltwater for almost a year now and she is still going strong. I took it bass fishing a few weeks ago, I will post a short of it casting with no issues. You can see some of the comments of people who have had the same experience as me.

I got the 400 and after a few hours of casting for musky the reel started grinding gear noises and the little spool tightening knob reached its max and i was still getting birdsnests cuz of that not allowing me to tighten anymore. Its junk in my opinion. Sending back to piscifun for refund

It’s still going strong! I sometimes go up to a 200 gram jig with no issues. Normally I use 50 to 150 grams and it gets the job done! You can’t go wrong for the price point.

My 300 and 400 just arrived, they feel pretty solid in the hand. Drag feels good .I'm thankful that the handle knob easily comes off, it was my only gripe and I just swapped it out with a winn grip.
