I never do business with companies that want all of your information before they will give you a quote for their equipment. That usually means they are way too expensive and they need the salesman to talk you into it, or, they are going to sell your information multiple 3rd parties that will hound you until the day you die or change your phone number. Just list the prices and if I have questions I will call or email you.

our installer of poly really messed up our driveway. We now have many cracks, and uneven slabs. This is now beyond repair and we are stuck with an extremely poor quality job, and permanent damage to our driveway. The driveway was previously mudhacked and it lasted for 10 year before it started settling. Wish we would have mudjacked instead of poly.

My driveway turned out great with the foam. Couldn't the mud erode away with water? I would watch rain drain into expansion joints, it had to move sand away and make a void. The joints are sealed now.
@HydraulicMudpumpsInc4 жыл бұрын
To answer your question, Yes mud could erode over time. Mudjacking is a generic term for the process using a grout. Different materials are used. Sometimes Portland is use which helps stiffen the grout and makes it harder to erode. But if water is the issue causing settlement, then Polyurethane is going to be the best long term solution.

very impressive pump. Seems to be a piston pump right? want to know the maximum pump pressure, aggregate size it can handle? also max pumping distance of the pump?
@HydraulicMudpumpsInc5 жыл бұрын
Hi Sujay-Hydraulically powered pump with either one or 2 pistons. The Power Pump can pump up to 600 psi and the Versa Pump can pump up to 700 psi. The Versa Pump can handle aggregate up to 3/8” pea gravel, power pump has to be smaller than 3/8”. Both pumps can pump up to 150 feet with the right material mix - what material you are pumping will decide how far you’ll be able to pump.

Can that be done in the winter? I live in Northeast Ohio so if it can't be done in the winter what are my options? Also how much do I charge and how much does the average person make per year? And lastly, how much does the equipment cost to get started
@HydraulicMudpumpsInc5 жыл бұрын
Good Morning Todd, When it comes to Winter with Polyurethane your answer is yes and no. We can’t raise concrete outside in any fashion when frost sets in. Frost glues the concrete down and it will not raise. However, during the winter we can do indoor projects such as Warehouses and Factories. The initial investment with Polyurethane varies on what type of equipment you’d like. We can do Trailer systems, Van Installs, as well as Box trucks. The trailer systems are the most economical at approximately $60K. That’s turnkey ready to go. As per average income per year we can’t judge because everyone is different. However, we do have a Performa we can share with you that shows the potential. I highly suggest reaching out to our sales department with your information in order to get you more information and more in depth. hmicompany.com/contact-us/

I have a 63 year old garage and the ground has settled roughly 3-4 inches below a 10x22 slab garage floor. I was told to use LSM, which is different from mudjacking. What do you think is better to fill voids that will ensure that it will be strong enough to support the weight of a car? Mudjacking, Poly or LSM?
@HydraulicMudpumpsInc5 жыл бұрын
Either Mud or Poly would work well for this project. However, the longevity of Polyurethane will stand up against the lengths of time for another 63 Plus Years

HMI is committed to manufacturing environmentally friendly products, from our use of recycled and biobased raw materials to the environmental effect of our final product. Our cured polyurethane foam is chemically inert. Leaching tests have been done on many of our products to ensure that no dangerous chemicals are leached from our foams when exposed to water.

Curious, what happens when you accidently over lift a slab ?
@HydraulicMudpumpsInc5 жыл бұрын
When over lifting occurs, the remaining option is to grind the edge down or raise the adjacent slab. However, HMI teaches the techniques and skills to avoid over lifting. Does it happen sometimes, yes. But the knowledge we share with you allows it to rarely happen. Learn about our 2 -day training hmicompany.com/training-support/2-day-beginner-seminar/

Can you give some examples of how much various polyurethane lifting jobs cost the contractor in materials and time , and how much customers are charged. How are jobs estimated. Thanks
@HydraulicMudpumpsInc5 жыл бұрын
Most standard residential jobs are anywhere from $500 to 1000 dollars. Polyurethane is estimated and completed per the pound. Nationally we see an average of $10-$14 dollars per pound. Most all contractors build their overhead expenses into the Per pound gap. The idea behind Polyurethane lifting is to be ½ to 2/3 the cost of replacing the slab that can be lifted. As per estimating, we look at square footage and how much lift needs to occur. There is a formula used as well as estimating software that makes it fast and efficient to estimate projects.
