Some years ago I was often coming at this church to pray and my father was also at this church. But I have experienced abuse- physical and verbal violence and from him since I was a child and I was still facing abuse in other forms until 2016. So much so that I had to seek the help of my close friends for protection and I also beseeched Pastor Ma fat to talk to him. My mother separated from him since 2010 and was also coming to St Paul church .She suffered from a breast cancer since 2013. So I asked this reverend do a mediation for our family and nothing has NEVER been done. My mother passed away in 2021 after a long suffering and the reverend Ma fat only came on her final days to baptize her. So much for the house of God. The most verifiable source of our reality is the prevailing unaddressed evil manifested in various forms, each leaving an indelible mark on the fabric of our society: war, terrorism, pandemics, violence and aggression, prejudice and discrimination, environmental destruction, greed and selfishness, human trafficking, addictions to substances such as drugs, pornography and alcohol, rape and abuse, pedophilia, mass shootings in schools, bullying and religious persecution. The Catholic and protestant churches actively promote the saving of people who have committed heinous actions and crimes based on the fact that Christ died on the cross to wipe away their sins JUST by accepting Jesus in their lives. This forcing on spirituality on people makes the approach biased. Promoting the idea that Christ's sacrifice can wipe away all sins, including heinous crimes, without emphasizing the need for individuals to actively address and repair the harm they've caused can potentially lead to the development of certain mindsets. Individuals may develop a mindset that minimizes the need for personal accountability. If the emphasis is solely on divine forgiveness without a corresponding focus on taking responsibility for one's actions, there may be a diminished sense of moral responsibility. Some individuals might adopt a mindset that assumes automatic forgiveness, potentially leading to a sense of entitlement. This mindset may undermine the understanding that forgiveness, especially for serious offenses, often requires sincere remorse, restitution, and a commitment to change. Perceived Impunity: Without a strong emphasis on addressing the consequences of one's actions within the earthly justice system, individuals might develop a mindset that perceives impunity. This could result in a disconnect between their actions and real-world consequences, potentially leading to a lack of deterrent for future wrongdoing. A mindset that focuses exclusively on personal salvation, without addressing the harm caused to others, may lead to a self-centered perspective. Individuals may prioritize their own spiritual well-being over the needs of those they have harmed or society's expectations for justice. A narrow focus on personal salvation without acknowledging the need for reparative actions may contribute to a lack of empathy toward the victims of crimes. The impact on those who have suffered may be downplayed or overlooked in favor of an individual's pursuit of divine forgiveness. This mindset might neglect the underlying issues or factors that contributed to criminal behavior. Without a focus on rehabilitation, addressing root causes, and preventing future harm, individuals may remain at risk of reoffending. Communities may experience strained relations if there is a perception that religious institutions are prioritizing the salvation of wrongdoers over the well-being of the community. This can lead to a loss of trust and a sense of betrayal among community members. These inconsistencies are very things that discourages the atheists, the Darwinists, secular scientists, new converted Christians, or anyone deeply seeking a spiritual advancement. But the Bible itself by addressing a message to the Jews gives Christians a clear insight of what they were expected to do: Romans 2:17-24 17 “Now you, if you call yourself a Jew (or a Christian) ; if you rely on the law and boast in God;18 if you know his will and approve of what is superior because you are instructed by the law; 19 if you are convinced that you are a guide for the blind, a light for those who are in the dark, 20 an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of little children, because you have in the law the embodiment of knowledge and truth- 21 you, then, who teach others, do you not teach yourself? You who preach against stealing, do you steal? 22 You who say that people should not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples? 23 You who boast in the law, do you dishonor God by breaking the law?24 As it is written: “God’s name is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you.”[a] In this division, no one is realizing that indeed, God’s name IS being blasphemed among the non-believers and hence that they have no hope to see the light at the end of the tunnel. As a result, people see that Christianity doesn’t reflect the stability and the coherence which differ from an already failing system. Some simply say that religion is a way that the society has found to control people and it’s the case. Jesus said : Matthew 5:16 "16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." No words, no persuasion, no emotional blackmailing can be made for people to march towards a source of light and truth but yet this is exactly what is being done by Christ followers. 21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and, in your name, perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’ What is written in the book of revelation for Christians is a prophecy no one should ignore especially since 2020 where many stood in neutrality amidst the mis-management of the pandemics and the blunders around the vaccination campaign. The Book of Revelation, the final book of the New Testament, contains various messages, prophecies, and visions given to the apostle John while he was exiled on the island of Patmos. In the first few chapters, specific messages are directed to seven churches in Asia Minor (modern-day Turkey): Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea. Each message addresses the spiritual condition of the respective church and offers commendations, criticisms, warnings, and encouragements. Ephesus: The church in Ephesus is commended for their works, perseverance, and discernment but criticized for forsaking their first love (Revelation 2:1-7). They are urged to repent and return to their initial zeal for God. Smyrna: The church in Smyrna is praised for its endurance in suffering and poverty (Revelation 2:8-11). They are encouraged to remain faithful, despite upcoming persecution, and are promised a crown of life. Pergamum: The church in Pergamum is commended for holding fast to Christ's name despite living in a city with a strong pagan influence. However, they are rebuked for tolerating false teachings and immoral behavior (Revelation 2:12-17). They are called to repent lest they face severe consequences. Thyatira: The church in Thyatira is recognized for their love, faith, service, and patience. Nevertheless, they are reprimanded for tolerating a false prophetess who leads people astray (Revelation 2:18-29). They are urged to repent, or else they will face judgment. Sardis: The church in Sardis is criticized for having a reputation for being alive but being spiritually dead. They are urged to wake up, strengthen what remains, and repent (Revelation 3:1-6). Philadelphia: The church in Philadelphia is commended for their faithfulness and endurance despite facing opposition. They are promised an open door that no one can shut (Revelation 3:7-13). Laodicea: The church in Laodicea is famously rebuked for being lukewarm-neither hot nor cold-in their devotion to God. They are urged to repent and to buy gold refined by fire, white garments, and eye salve to truly see their spiritual condition (Revelation 3:14-22). These messages to the seven churches serve as both historical records of the conditions of those churches at the time and as timeless messages applicable to churches throughout history to the present day. They emphasize the importance of remaining faithful, maintaining fervent devotion to Christ, guarding against false teachings and practices, and being vigilant in spiritual matters. But in the myriad of the prevailing evil, we should not only understand the ordeal that each one of us face but also invest in community support so that people who are born again can repair their past mistakes and work towards a better world. This is how churches can stay linear in what the God of Abraham instructed the people of Israel to do by conquering the promise land.

But the Bible itself by addressing a message to the Jews gives Christians a clear insight of what they were expected to do: Romans 2:17-24 17 “Now you, if you call yourself a Jew (Christian) ; if you rely on the law and boast in God;18 if you know his will and approve of what is superior because you are instructed by the law; 19 if you are convinced that you are a guide for the blind, a light for those who are in the dark, 20 an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of little children, because you have in the law the embodiment of knowledge and truth- 21 you, then, who teach others, do you not teach yourself?

Some years ago I was often coming at this church to pray and my father who was also at this church. So I asked the reverend to do a mediation for our family and nothing has NEVER been done. Entitlement to Forgiveness: Some individuals might adopt a mindset that assumes automatic forgiveness, potentially leading to a sense of entitlement. Lack of Empathy for Victims: A narrow focus on personal salvation without acknowledging the need for reparative actions may contribute to a lack of empathy toward the victims of crimes.
