I've tied half dz of these using a bead of thick uv cement. Will have to see how they do.

I tie a very similar fly using Mallard flank with a turn of grizzly in front as you use Grouse up to size 6 and I can confirm it is an excellent trout fly!

I make my spun deer hair bodies in a virtually identical manner and, in my experience, this results in the strongest deer hair body!

That's upstream from Lodgepole. The pictures were taken in October, so water was as low and clear as it gets.

This fly produces consistently for me anchored and under an indicator, or trolling on a sink tip or full sink line. Excellent versatile pattern for searching a new lake

Have you experimented with gluing the rabbit strips together? and my favorite color pattern is olive white. This works for predatory trout anywhere.

Excellant fly and video. When you use mono line to make eyes try 40 lb mono it works better. Also when using needle to make double 6 lb mono to pull piece of mono thru fly. This way fly head will not be torn up.
