Hi mate, nice setup. How do you find having two returns to the pond from the easypod? Im building a similar setup but not sure if its worth having two returns or go with just one.
@thebeardedfishhunter19814 сағат бұрын
@@richaedsnith711 I only have one mate easy pod to pump then to uv into tempest then to shower back to pond :)
@richaedsnith7113 сағат бұрын
Do you think there is enough flow from the easypod to have two returns? I know it's only a fairly low flow from easypod
@thebeardedfishhunter19812 сағат бұрын
@richaedsnith711 u could run the easy pod at about 6 or 7000 lph so I reckon u could split it into 2 I run mine at just over 5 but I know they can take more, also u could add a bit more media to the pod then what came with it I have 60l.in mine instead of 50

Good session. The fish self-unhooking in the net can be a blessing and a curse. Different if you're using barbless hooks. 🎣 🐊

I still don’t understand how EZpods work (they’re not too common over here in the US). The paintings look fantastic man.
@thebeardedfishhunter198121 күн бұрын
@The_Koi_Pit it's a vortex system on the inlet and then the water is pushed through the media and then from a centre pipe out of the centre of the fikter to the pump on the outside
@The_Koi_Pit21 күн бұрын
Is there any kind of weatherproofing you need to do for the interior walls on those sleepers?
@thebeardedfishhunter198121 күн бұрын
@The_Koi_Pit the sleepers are pressure treated at the time of them been made giving a water repellant treatment

I am not here or anywhere telling anyone how this or that should have been done but if i was doing it for me i would have made the shed a bit bigger and configured the filter system so that a viewing window could be put in, a comfortable couch, a small fridge too and a heater. Unfortunately Koi are banned where i live but i kept them almost 50 years ago in UK.

Hi Mate Did you use PTFE tape on the threads?
@thebeardedfishhunter19812 ай бұрын
@chrisware8585 hi I got told it wouldn't need it as it s flat plate that presses against a epdm rubber seal on the valve which should completky seal when tightened down, the water must be getting past that to even get to the thread of the outside ring, I think I'll end up replacing it if this tighenten session doesn't work
