For vitamin C, in cases of resuscitation I think we should err on the side of giving it if there’s weak evidence that it works. Negative outcomes are close to nothing. Positive outcomes are not well studied which is why the recommendation is not there. It seems like there is there’s a dearth of data as opposed to substantial data that it DOES NOT work.

I realize a lot of these comments are old but I’m a survivor and I don’t think my family has fully grasped how serious this is because they’ve been rushing my recovering process. Asking me when I’m going back to work or making me walk despite some days I’m feeling too weak, I know I need to walk to avoid blood clots but they want me to go for small walks outside and I just can’t do that yet. My body is still very much weak since it’s only been a week since I left the hospital. I’m a lot more tired than usual yet I struggle to sleep, my appetite is nowhere near the same as it was before I eat like a bird now and throw in anxiety and depression because I’m beginning to feel like a burden to my family now. It’s just rough dealing with this and I’m glad for videos like this that shine a light on the severity of sepsis even during the recovery process.

I was on ventilator for 4 months my advise to icu staff. I had great nurses they still greeted me like I was not on a drug induced coma they write their names in the board edited introduced who th y were and they were going to take care of me. It did make a difference. Also, if patient has nausea get it under control before physical therapy. When you are so sick last thing I felt like was exercise.

i Hope as a professional institution representig critical care practitioners we will get the courage to speak out against genocide , starving a whole population and completely desimating the health care system of a civilian population in Gaza. I hope we will as a group try to offer help.

I feel compelled to share my personal experience with discrimination and harassment at the hands of Dr. Clifford himself. As someone belonging to a minority group and having a disability, I have faced discriminatory treatment and felt marginalized in his presence. It is disheartening to see Emory University allow such behavior to go unchecked, effectively creating a monster in Dr. Clifford who continues to discriminate against people of color and those with disabilities. This kind of behavior should not be tolerated or overlooked, as it undermines the inclusive and supportive environment that an institution like Emory should strive to cultivate. I hope that by sharing my experience, awareness can be raised, and necessary steps can be taken to ensure a fair and just environment for everyone at Emory University.
