I rented a Vespa in Lake Como last summer. I learned that my life, maybe all our lives, are a lie. This is all people are meant to do.

Great video! Were you a beginner rider at the time of filming the video?

Thank you! No, I wasn't a beginner and I had my motorcycle license already and had experiences in Vietnam as well. I wouldn't recommend to a friend who doens't have any experiences. The road is narrow and the cliff is next to it, windy road, when the bus is coming around the corner then shouldn't go either (and so on with other safety reasons) but if you have some experiences and only drive town to town for short distances then maybe ok. If you can practice and know how to drive a car back home(because it's important to know how the road works and defensive driving, etc) then I'd say practice it before you get there. I think it's worth riding scooter there.

Thanks for posting. Over the long term, - does the vibration on the bike influence your phone?(the phone itself) I have heard people complain about that.

How long are we talking about? I've heard about that issue with iPhone but that happens when you own a bike and riding for long period of time. I don't have an issue with my phone. I think I rode few months with my phone mounted. Mine is samsung phone btw. If you're on holiday, riding for few days to a week then I wouldn't worry about it. Also it's normally one way road, you won't need your phone mounted. Just following the road sign should do. (I didn't need it on my way back to Sorrento from Amalfi)

If you own a bike and plans to ride for a long period of time, then I would get a quad lock with vibration damper or sp connect has one too.

I'm from united states. Do people usually drive around 40 kph on the Amalfi coast? I am renting a vespa when I visit Italy. Beautiful video!

People don't ride fast there. Maybe locals go slightly faster when the road is empty but probably 50 kph or so. Also Amalfi coast area, 40km was the speed limit I think(in the town). But you don't wanna ride fast there anyway for the safety reason and you don't wanna miss the view(No reason to be in rush on your holiday). Narrow road, traffic, the bus and tourists in the town. In my case, I was riding extra slow since the passenger in my back never been on someone's back. I'd say ride slow and enjoy the beautiful ride! I highly recommend to ride Vespa.

Chaotic but somehow it kind of seems calm 😮 I remember being a pedestrian there in 2008 and it was like playing frog 😂
