Great video breakdown, Leo Chenal is one of my breakout candidates for this season. Question I have for IDP fantasy, do you think he has a pathway to become a 85%+ snap linebacker in KC?
@papaschroАй бұрын
At the moment I’d say no, Chenal is still being used mainly in base and not Nickel. Bolton/Tranquil are usually the rotation for Nickel but Bolton had a rough first game and has been injured the last couple years so maybe not a bad stash if you have room on your roster?

Love,Dak,Tua,Stroud,Hurts,T Law, and Herbert are NOT better than Purdy
@papaschroАй бұрын
Too many questionable performances in my opinion for Purdy especially when he doesn’t have his skill players, the Baltimore is the first thing I think of with Purdy. Definitely an upgrade from Jimmy G but I’d be more willing to give him the benefit of the doubt on a Love or Stroud just because I’m going off one year for them, but from technical skill and arm talent it’s hard to argue Purdy over any of those guys, and that can change but feels like Purdy is more of a placeholder than a franchise QB with the most talented roster in the league around him.

Dude that ball was snapped, he was just quick af off that snap. Clean, not false start. That is just inhuman acceleration and explosion out of a snap. Incredible football play not at all false start.
@papaschroАй бұрын
Looks like he stutters forward right after setting from the motion, just some timing to be worked out and what the Lions db was pointing at. It’s definitely close but you can’t lunge at the LOS once you’re set, either way small things to work out and what the preseason is for, gotta call the bad with the good!
@seanhettenbach2101Ай бұрын
@@papaschroI'm telling you he went when the ball snapped. His reaction was just faster than every other player, so it looked like a 'jump'. He hit that acceleration the exact millisecond that ball went into motion. Also, as a motion player, not on the line of scrimmage, the player does not need to be 'set' for the ball to be snapped. So he doesn't have to be fully set.
@papaschroАй бұрын
Yeah it’s right about the same exact time, you can tell it was an accident or he wouldn’t have stopped all his momentum forward right as the ball is snapped. He doesn’t have to be set but the problem is he did set then jolted forward, it was super close but with how rough and inconsistent officiating has been the last few years not something you want to leave up to chance in a big situation so good it happened in the preseason, something to learn from but it helped here the defense was more worried about that than the actual play.
@seanhettenbach2101Ай бұрын

David Bahktiari is the guy the Chiefs should be focused on. He would be a wonderful fit for KC, Mahomes could finally stop having to run for his life all game. Hopefully the Chiefs would also look to add a veteran WR since Rice will likely be suspended for 6+ games this year. Tyler Boyd should have been a Chief, dunno what Andy is thinking. Boyd only cost the Titans 1yr/4.5m, that's cheap enough for us to go 1yr/5m and add an important veteran WR for us.
@papaschro3 ай бұрын
Bahktiari would be a very interesting pick up depending on the money although I would like to see what either Suamataia or Morris could do although I’m nervous about Morris depending on improvements in the offseason/camp, a veteran could definitely help with development tho. On the receiver side after last year I’m almost convinced they can win with anyone out there although depth can’t hurt.

@db1513 ай бұрын
Donovan Smith hasn't been great for a decade. Morris looked terrible last year. The BYU is a long shot. I wish Andy would get the job done for once. We should have already signed Wr Tyler Boyd, he wasn't that expensive. Boyd and Bahktiari would truly make use a 3-Straight threat.
@KSU-ce2uc4 ай бұрын
Hopefully not. He's a smaller version of Orlando Brown Jr. Good run blocker but not athletic enough to stop your better DE's. I remember Vonn Miller having 2 crucial pressures in the Bills regular season game that impacted that game. Slow feet and not that powerful.

The two Raiders games was a tale of two performances for Wanya, week 12 was probably hios best performance of the year and highest grade of 62.8. Then week 16 his worst performance and grade of 43.8. Decent breakdown and analysis, but you are WAY too kind to Morris. That was an absolute lowlight film on him. I don't I think I saw a single play where he seemed like an NFL left tackle. Yes, I get it. He was a rook, he's gonna make mistakes against Mack, etc. But he didn't show ANY promise in these clips (admittedly, I only watched the first 10 minutes). Good effort on your part, and I'll keep an eye on you. Like Wanya, you've got some growth and development to focus on. How about some energy, some emotion? But best wishes and take care. I'll be back.

@@papaschro Now THAT I absolutely agree with. But that's what all the camps and preseason games are for. Very interesting battle there.
@harrymills27704 ай бұрын
I think they're very comparable talents. Morris most likely has the inside track, with NFL experience and his first full offseason. Morris was raw, but it looked like he was holding his own and might even be winning the job, until the concussion. Both young tackles fell out of the 1st round because they were raw coming out, but otherwise checked a lot of boxes. IIRC, Morris was the first OT taken after the 1st round in 2023 draft, after a flurry of OT picks in the 1st. I think the Chiefs were overjoyed that he was still on the board when they took him. Ideally, it will be a fierce competition between two starting-caliber OTs. In a perfect world, they're both pro bowl caliber, and they find a trading partner for Jawaan Taylor after this season. Otherwise, they'd almost have to roll with Taylor until 2026. His contract was signed before the t.v. contract, so his 2025-6 cost might look very reasonable to an OT-needy team, especially if he turns in a good 2024 campaign. He really got picked on last year, and had to adjust to the new interpretation of false-start rules.

@papaschro7 ай бұрын

@TheRealcdawg227 ай бұрын
@papaschro The Patriots were basically on top of the league for 20 years. During that time, they were caught in several cheating scandals. The media was complicit in covering up much of the negativity, and they still gush about how great Bill Belichick is and how great Brady is to this day never bringing up the rules that they bent and broke to get on top. As a football fan living through that time period, it sure felt like a coordinated propaganda campaign from all sides to get the fans to forget about it all. If you didn't know, Robert Kraft, the Patriots owner, was a good friend of Roger Goodell. He was instrumental in getting Goodell promoted to Commissioner. Although there was some punishment meted to Kraft's team, it was hardly strong enough to suit the crimes. If it were stronger, maybe they would have stopped cheating, but they didn't. The analysts in sports media would not talk about it either. Some reporters broke the news, but it was the fans who kept the news alive in hopes that the league would do the right thing. A fair and suitable course of action by the league never really materialized, but the fans never forgot, and even to this day, the Patriots are known for cheating. That is their reputation. Now, the new fans that have come along after the Brady/Belichick era see the established fan reaction to that team and their reputation, and so they conflate success with cheating. They don't realize that it was only that specific team in that specific era that earned that reputation. So now the Chiefs have been the most successful team to come along after the Patriot era. To the new fans, there is no difference between the 2 franchises. Since it is the Chiefs era now, that means that they are cheaters in their view because it's the Chiefs' turn. They have no historical underpinnings to their rationale. Even though the Chiefs have never been busted for anything, they don't understand that it takes proof before fans have the right to demean a team's reputation. Their ignorance is on full display, and they refuse to listen to anyone because in their social world, empirical evidence and facts do not matter. Feelings matter along with being in agreement with the group. So, the Chiefs hate is mostly coming from newer fans who don't have a grasp on history. They mistakenly see a correlation between a bad reputation and success and think that they are just carrying on in a tradition. However, it is all BS. There is another group of fans of other teams who are just jealous and sick of the Chiefs success. They want to see their team or anyone else in the Superbowl besides the Chiefs. The Chiefs have played in 4 of the last 5 Superbowls. I get it.
