You can also put the screw lid under very warm/hot water a few seconds. Then take a thin towel and unscrew the lid. The very warm/hot water causes the lid to expand.

Folks do not put a hose in a circulating fan. Never have electrical appliances very close to water as you can be easily electrocuted.
