Just a quick comment, I have just stumbled onto your channel within the last few days, and I have to say, I've been told to find inspiration when learning pixel art and you have been exactly that, I couldn't even begin to understand perspective and coloring but you're shading, and style have made it more comprehensible for me from just a few viewings. I can't wait to see what you make next, and you are what I aspire to be when it comes to making pixel art. Thank you for your awesome art!

How long did this take to make? I keep hearing that this type of thing would take a "long" time, but I want to know how long it is relative to full res traditional animation (which is notoriously painstaking to make). Can you give me an exact timeframe?
@ChaoticGoodRadio10 ай бұрын
hey! Hmm I'd say this didn't/doesnt take any more or less time than normal animation. (I mean.. I guess everyone's process is different). But I basically make these pixel art animations frame by frame, in the same way I do regular animating.. I genuinely can't remember how long this one took me though.. I'd estimate it takes me 10 seconds a day (of work).. but that's also dependent on the level of detail. I think something more detailed than this would longer. My "Survival of the Sublime" Animation took me about 6 weeks I think.. but I was ONLY working on that and nothing else. Hope this helps!
@samobrien729110 ай бұрын
@@ChaoticGoodRadioThanks! I have one more question actually. I saw something in one of your comments sections where you mentioned that you discovered a tween tool, and that it reduced the amount of time it took by a considerable amount. Would you recommend using that, or were there problems that made it not ideal?
@ChaoticGoodRadio10 ай бұрын
@@samobrien7291 oh definitely! But only for things that don't change shape. So things that are one frame/still assets, that you then want to drift in one direction. (I'm sure there might be a clever way to get tween to work with animated/moving/multiple frame things.. but I don't know it haha) 👍

@@ChaoticGoodRadio for sure! If you have the time, I definitely recommend it. You seem to have a heart for people, and you also seem to think deeply about our existence and purpose here on earth. A while ago, I was thinking a lot about our purpose and meaning as well, and it led down a dark path internally for me, and after reading through some of Ecclesiastes, it lined up pith pretty much my train of thought. The logical conclusions of our existence here if we have no Creator ate at me, and made it impossible for me to enjoy anything at all. Keep asking questions and digging deep dude! And if you read Ecclesiastes, please don't let any bad experiences or pre-conceived notions you have about God or Christianity taint your experience reading it for yourself! Praying for you dude!
@ChaoticGoodRadio Жыл бұрын
@@Chupie77777 I appreciate the comment dude, but I’ll be honest; I’m pretty satisfied with my view of life’s “meaning” without there being a creator, and personally am not super hyped to read some christian scripture. (I’m sure it has some great things to say though! Truly mean that with the best will in the world.) I just don’t share the same experience as you as viewing the lack of a creator as a dark path.. even though I do understand why people go through that. We’ve all got our own perspectives and experiences 🤷♂️ Do you know about Spinoza? I’m a big fan of his kind of Pantheism. “The School Of Life” youtube has a cool basic intro vid about him.. But also, If I could recommend some books for you; Siddhartha by Herman Hesse and Island by Aldous Huxley. (Also anything by the main man Alan Watts… although his stuff’s also great to listen too as well.. and actually.. especially if you were brought up Christian (I’m not assuming you were) but in general, his stuff definitely speaks to a positive way out of the ‘negative path’ you were talking about. One that maybe I can’t 100% relate to as I was pretty much brought up atheist. But still! I love his stuff :) ) Anyway all the best dude ✌️
