What a sublime Master of music, so much charisma. Tom Petty will be freefalling in heaven. Miss him so much x

He was such a humble loving and sharing Human Soul....you hear that immediately in what he said at the beginning of this video. It brings tears to my eyes knowing that we lost such a good person caring and creative peson and that he didn't get to live longer.

Great musician so sad he was murdered by Black market opioid drugs. Why was the beginning blaired ? But good interview 👌

It still doesn't feel like he's gone. Because of how often I hear him on the radio.. like Marry jaine. His music will live on for as long as we all do.

I’m seeing a lot of comments implying that Petty had to put up with ‘jocks’ here who didn’t appreciate him. Well let me tell you something. I’m a lifelong, diehard football fanatic. I grew up with Marshall Faulk and Peyton Manning. They are good, smart men with integrity. They had the utmost respect for Tom Petty. They felt honored and were happy to meet him.

All the feeling and so tight. I saw them in LA around this time and we were so blown away and followed him ever since. My favorite track on this is Change of Heart. Recently watched Runnin Down a Dream spawning a deep dive into his material. We so miss you Tom, thanks for sharing all your gifts.

The band still just doesn't sound right to me without Stan Lynch. Ferrone is a great drummer but his style way too safe and vanilla for live rock n roll.

0:01 Saving Grace (Lyrics) ~°~ I'm passing sleeping cities Fading by degrees And believing all I see to be so I'm flyin' over backyards Country homes and ranches Watching life between the branches below And it's hard to say Who you are these days But you run on anyway Don't you baby? You keep running for another place To find that saving grace I'm moving on alone Over ground that no one owns Past statues that atone for my sins And there's a guard on every door And a drink on every floor Overflowing with a thousand amens And it's hard to say Who you are these days But you run on anyway Don't you baby? You keep running for another place To find that saving grace Don't you baby? You're rolling up the carpet Of your father's two-room mansion No headroom for expansion no more And there's a corner of the floor They're telling you is yours You're confident but not really sure And it's hard to say Who you are these days But you run on anyway Don't you baby? You keep running for another place To find that saving grace Don't you baby? You keep running for another place To find that saving grace Don't you baby

03:42 Square One (Lyrics) ~°~ Had to find some higher ground Had some fear to get around You can't say what you don't know Later on won't work no more Last time through, I hid my tracks So well I could not get back Yeah, my way was hard to find Can't sell your soul for peace of mind Square one, my slate is clear Rest your head on me, my dear It took a world of trouble, it took a world of tears It took a long time to get back here Try so hard to stand alone Struggle to see past my nose Always had more dogs than bones I could never wear those clothes It's a dark victory You won and you also lost Told her she was satisfied But it never came across Square one, my slate is clear Rest your head on me, my dear It took a world of trouble, it took a world of tears It took a long time to get back here Square one, my slate is clear Rest your head on me, my dear It took a world of trouble, it took a world of tears It took a long time to get back here Square one, my slate is clear Rest your head on me, my dear It took a world of trouble, it took a world of tears It took a long time to get back here

Did any other guitar players notice that Mike Campbell's guitar was not plugged in or turned on at the beginning of "A Woman In Love?" He got it fixed right away. I love this stuff. Only a musician who has play live would notice this kind of stuff. Shows how great Mike is on the recovery mode....
