Hi Lee. Well the old building next to the car park I believe does open but I think that’s more like a small bar area. It’s a very impressive building. A lot of ground here to run around. Seems popular for dog walking!

Around my home (eastern southern Canada) there are only grey east American squirrel. The red squirrel are so cool!

They really are :) Grey Squirrels are banned on the Isle of Wight apparently to stop them hurting the Red ones. So we are lucky to only have Red.

Just got back from a very hot week over there & 5.45am in the morning there was one visiting the tree next to our accommodation!! Every time we come over to IOW we always seem to be lucky at seeing at least one. Have been to where you filmed this. Lovely there isn't it & a special place to see them! x J x

Thank you for the comment :) This was last year. Started the walk just past Flowers Brook. We used to walk from Ventnor, but this one we parked up near Ventnor Park, walked along the road (just before Ventnor Botanical Gardens) and you can then get to flowers Brook. This video started at the top of the hill/slope leading down toward Steephill Cove.

Always so windy whenever we go to Fort Victoria!🌬....& always so peaceful & quiet. Fab views. There used to be a model railway centre there where my grandson would spend ages devoted to looking at Thomas the Tank Engine! Love West Wight x J x

Hi Judy we love this side of the Island used to visit regularly (don’t much these days). It has lovely walks also :) The Model Railway centre was great! I don’t think it is there anymore sadly. Looked like something new is in its place.

Went to isle of wight in the 70's with school ,hover craft and hydrofoil ,loved it there.years later done the walk the wight for hospice 28 miles debs xx ps love music.

It was quite a low tide :) although to be fair, with the right research you can usually enjoy a nice walk up to it :) Although is quite slippy underfoot, do recommend it

I remember travelling on her as a child. I have some nice photos on board of her, we tried hard to purchase her for the engines, but nobody would sell her.
