So, here are some interesting facts about it: the neckbrace is a tribute to X-Japan's drummer (pianist, founder, songwriter and soul) Yoshiki Hayashi, who got injured from headbanging violently during concerts and had to wear a neckbrace by medical prescription even while performing. The red moon in the end is another tribute to X-Japan, this time for the song "Kurenai" (meaning "red") and so is another of their songs "Akatsuki" (crimson moon). I suggest you to watch "Megitsune" official music video next and then switch to live performances. 🤘🦊

Welcome back. You wondered if BABYMETAL would have another banger - they have 4 albums, nearly 70 songs plus some collaborations with other bands and they are all bangers. This song was recorded in 2012 when Su-metal was 14, Yuimetal and Moametal were 12, not quite 13. It is about a girl going to her first concert on her 15th birthday, but 15 is also significant in Japan as that marks the end of compulsory education, so the girl is realising she has important life decisions to make and she will no longer be considered as a child, so she is etching this special night of her 15th into her heart so she will never forget. The neck brace in the video is an homage to X Japan's drummer Yoshiki who needed surgery after damaging his neck headbanging. BABYMETAL have used it a lot over the years as part of their lore in live shows. BABYMETAL are a live performance band if you want to see and hear them at their best and they are masters of crowd engagement and crowd control, that is a major part of what Moa and Momo (and previously Moa and Yui) do. 'Megitsune' live at PIA Arena in April 2023 or live at Legend MM in March 2024 will show you more of what they are all about.

I think the "based on true events" you’re referring to is Ed Gein. Called the butcher of Plainfield (Wisconsin), he dug up bodies and skinned them, wearing their faces as masks, as well as doing other unsettling things.
