This is how it is supposed to go. If it was me? My spud goes through the incoming piece. Old School. It'll help keep the member from sliding off. #1208425

That little tickle you get in the seat of your pants when he walks out on the beam. I used to follow connecting crews around, coating connections. I absolutely loved it, until one day I didn't. No reason, no incident, didn't see an accident. I was just walking a beam like this fella and stopped dead in my tracks, as if I had at that moment become aware of my existence, and thought WTF am I doing here? Strange day that was, with 14 years under my belt I never cooned iron again.

Love the tree. I'm too fat and top heavy now. My glory days of connecting are over. Got all i needed and still have all fingers and toes. Would rather stage and rig now. 8 year old vid , i was still connecting then. Miss it a little. Stay alive fellas. One slip and down you go.

I install skyliner fall protection systems and walk around on all the beams after these guys put em up. It's scary shit forsure even being tied off. And I only make $20 an hour, these guys probably make around 30-40 per hr

As a construction worker ( Plumber) I can honestly say these guys are a lot of the time the most arrogant , outta my way We're the most important people here type of guys you'll come across. And its because ITS TRUE, got nothing but crazy respect for these crazy bastards. Without these guys and the concrete deck guys I couldnt do my job. Those fellas are definitely a different breed.
