Did a musculoskeletal course for my health sc degree and can confirm: being able to identify every single muscle did not make drawing anatomy easier - in fact, it made it harder due to that overwhelming level of detail.

After watching it suxks that they did that to you with the pencil but the phones have a cámara problem between pro and standard i wish they did more things like what you did to your iPad for gamers we would pay for what you did

This was an excellent tutorial wish I had paid attention to the advice I had given years ago. Love your patience and your down to earth tone you expressed throughout the video. The simplistic way you showed how to study anatomy helped alot.

"How to enjoy art when you are bad at it" yesyesyesyesyesyes, I need tips on this, I stopped drawing when I was a child, I picked it up again, been very focused on getting better, it's been 3 years, and I realized I only enjoyed it when something more or less good came out: like a "yes! I did it!" I enjoyed the reward, a good result was my reward, but I keep hearing that the process is important, and then I started to wonder, "if the result isn't good, I don't really enjoy it, maybe I'm too focused on getting good" but how can I enjoy something I'm not good at? it's not like dancing or running, they naturally get you pumped, even when you do it badly, well, hope this video helps, I'm gonna watch it now xD Edit: finished watching! really useful tip, thanks! there are a lot of things that I want to get better at (coloring, faces, anatomy, making dinamic figures), but one that I really enjoy is gesture, I practiced it only for a little while in drawing lessons, but I enjoyed it, so I'm going to focus on that, and drawing the little mermaid, because i enjoy that movie too 😍😍🤩🤩

Love your stuff and thanks for all you do, you are a voice of wisdom and you are much appreciated as are your substantial skills. ERGO JOSH!!! I need your thoughts, sir. I have a 12.9" iPad and love the idea of it being so mobile. I also have a sketchboard Pro. I want to be able to get super comfy in front of my desktop system and draw, but also want to get on the couch and draw from there. What office chair do you use and are there any tips you can offer for couch drawing. I've tried cushions under the sketchboard pro on the couch and can't make it work. HELP...please =D. I'm gonna take a look at Cara now. Thanks.

Once you make something you love into a job, youll no longer love it. Art does seem very redundant now. Instead of putting hours and hours into a work you could just type it out in 5 min and let AI do it.

I'm gonna get that desk, and the leds, and those speakers for setting the mood and vibe. Idk if walnut, gold and white is my favorite theme, maybe black, white, but I think I'll need a warm natural color too. I'm really excited to get my own studio and set it up as I please, make it my own little cave where I can get away from the world, for work, or just to have fun.

I agree with everything apart from the crouching one lol that's not a pose uncommon to see over here, arms just vague resting but not being supported on your legs (and calling that one sketch contrapposto when it wasnt but whatever it's not like it changes anything really)

I came back to these procreate dreams videos because I was getting so frustrated with the fact that Dreams is still my *only* animation tool I can use, so out of my desperate rationalization complex I decided to come to this to see if there was something that I missed. The biggest thing I realized when comparing was that I really should work on my confidence when making strokes and deliberately deciding how a frame should look. I don't need to light sketch, I can just commit a line onto the paper, and if it doesn't look right then and there for what I'm going for, I can undo. I really need to try harder at that. So thanks much for the good recap

I have always struggled with drawing people until recently I developed my own art style but I still struggle with drawing anatomy. It helps me to focus on one drawing at once tracing it a bunch over and over again and trying to draw it on the side. I’m mostly a traditional artist but I do sometimes use digital apps, so until I get muscle memory for basic shapes of the body I’ll use apps then try in my sketchbook.
