Imagine the gospel of Junia where it says: And Jesus called to Himself the twelve, Simon, Andrew, James and John, the sons of thunder, Matthew, Thomas, Junia, Sophia, Pricilla, Lilian, Sarah, and Mary Magdalene… No, the Bible doesn’t say that. But why not? Jesus was revolutionary in ALL that He did, and if there was needed change to ANYTHING, He brought it. So… then 6 disciples were women?… no. The Bible doesn’t say that because God told Christ to choose 12 men, even one of them knowing he would betray Him. This was the way God wanted it for a reason back then, and for the same reason today. We may not know all the reasons why, but if God chose this way, it means something. Also, God Himself could’ve come in both forms, somehow half and half perhaps? No, the Bible doesn’t say that. He is written masculine. Also Jesus could have come as a woman or as both, but no, the Bible doesn’t say that. He is fully God and fully man, masculine… it means something. Mashal is same word in genesis 4 as in 3, sin or woman’s desire is for or to be over you. Maybe God’s protection is not because they aren’t incredible teachers or leaders (because they are) but for their protection against their original desire from sin just like a man’s original sin means he must always deal with reluctance to actually step up and direct in God’s design (or the polar opposite of overcompensating for what he knows down inside he’ll never be perfect at)… men have been failing women since the beginning of original sin, but if they had been in God’s design all along, this wouldn’t be an issue. The pendulum swings hard, and swings to the loudest voices, but just like republican or democrat is not the answer, Christ is. So here too we should look to the entirety of scripture on men and women, not just create answers for an agenda already desired. We must revert back to the entirety of scripture again and again and ask the Spirit for guidance each hour of each day for we know not where the wind is coming from or where it is going. He must become more and we must become less.

Struggling. Can’t the God in me. Addressed the inequities. Gaslit. ✋🏾. Lord, I need a church community that doesn’t minimize, demonize, or sexualize women and girls.

It can be compared to autism. It isn't that more people are claiming to be autistic, much less that there is an autism movement or agenda, but there is more recognition of the condition so what was unnamed or unrecognized before now has a designation. L

Hi Derek, is there another part to this series? You seem to suggest that there was one more session to come?
