I wonder if there is any meaning to the change in eye color at 02:18. Rachel's eyes are green as seen in the beginning of the test, but the eye on the monitor later on, is brown. This is also referenced in Bladerunner 2049 when the replica is presented to tempt Deckard and he mentions Rachel's eyes were green.

Obviously was not a genius, but Edward Wood believed in his dreams, believed in what he was doing as if it was the masterpiece of the century, so his enthusiasm was always strong. Just for that you can't dislike him. Tim Burton catches that essence, love for making movies, in his masterpiece

One of these crystalline moments of cinematic perfection. It's easy to be dazzled by Young's elegance, but that would be to miss Scott's hand; offsetting android Rachel's calm vulnerability with human Deckard's cold, ruthless and glib inhumanity perfectly illustrated the core question PKD set out to ask in his novel Do Androids dream of Electric Sheep.

This movie was released in 1982 -- so they were making sets and engaging in production design in 1980 or 1981. It is remarkable how modern the look, feel and creativity are for a film that is now over 40 years old. Way ahead of its time.

This scene has Hollywood Golden Age level of cinematography and perfection, somehow it reminds me of when she arrives down the staircase in the Double Indemnity, same pathos.

I just find this video that was serve by AI in my you tube list. I saw this movie at least 13 times, this scene is the best of this movie, Sean Young actress is very captivating her role. The Blade Runner part II in my personal opinion is a piece of crap.

Interestingly, when Deckard used the machine to test replicants it showed a green eye, but by the time it ended it showed a brown eye. Weird.

Sean Young in Blade Runner rivals Brooke Shields in Endless Love as the most beautiful a girl has ever looked. In fact I prefer her to Brooke, because her beauty is so otherworldly and mesmerizing it almost leaves you in a trance. The perfection of the music, scenery and lighting takes it to another level.

Sean may not be everyone’s cuppa, but I couldn’t imagine anyone else playing Rachael. Her acting seems so synthetic naturally. A perfect fit for the role. My favorite movie of all time. Best soundtrack too. Jordan shot the hell out of this movie. Ridley….You know…;)

Sean Young was incredible throughout, such a haunting, eternal sadness looming in the background of her portrayal - creating a powerful figure, with minimal dialogue yet maximum impact... Nothing ever came close to it in my opinon. One of the greatest characters I ever had the joy to observe, so beautifully protrayed and will never be forgotten...

Sean Young é belissima. Como as mais belas do cinema. Infelizmente possui um temperamento muito forte e bateu de frente com diversos diretores. Seu papel em Wall Street aparentemente foi muito reduzido na edição final por conta disso. É o que se comenta...

I remember seeing the Director's Cut when they brought to the theatre for an anniversary screening. It so blew me away that I called my girlfriend at the time. She hated everything I liked about it. It was then, I knew she wasn't for me. I use this movie as a litmus test for people.

I never got why they treat replicants so poorly. I mean, they look like human beings, behave like human beings, and are made of organic matter like human beings. The only real difference seems to be that they can't procreate or live as long. If something like that existed in the regular world you know it wouldn't be long before there were laws preventing discrimination of replicants. Hell attempting to create them as slave labor would never work unless we entered a lengthy period of cultural collapse and people forgot about how much they despise the idea of slavery.
