i gotta give to you, i loved this whole video essay trilogy! you’ve almost captured each albums feel with each explanation and provided thought provoking insights with a few songs. loved all of it. my only complaint, admittedly being a biased one, would have to be not going a bit more in depth with a few of my favorites. noticeably missing would be ‘know love, 4 seasons, waiting room, and never had the balls. nonetheless, i hope you keep making these videos! they were a joy to watch and think about. thank you for your wonderful creation :) might i suggest another trilogy of albums. lizzy mcalpines give me a minute, five seconds flat, and older. despite being different, the themes and maturity in lyrics are beautiful to witness as you listen to each. anyways, keep up the great work! definitely earned yourself a sub.

Et… pourquoi Reptila plutôt que Reptilia? Est-ce que le fait de produire un «essai» dispense son auteur de nommer correctement les choses?

im 21, turning 22 in a week. growing up due to a quasi-neglection of my parents, dad being gone with a new family and my young single mother having to work jobs to support her 3 kids, i had unfiltered and unmonitored access to the internet. when iwas around 11-12 i stumbled n a video of a dude chopping his hand in a cooking video and a shaggy haired dude blow the brains out of some dude in a bathtub. this was my introduction to mac. i never was into anything and i had no guidance. this was the moment i found out who i wanted to be. his songs resonated with someone who had MAJOR paternal issues. in 2016-2017, my dad came back to chicago (i lived there) and expected the same relationship we had when i was 7. i was so mad and confused but then this album came out and it honestly saved me. i might not ever get the chance to meet Mac but if i did, id have a lot to talk about. hes the reason i am who i am today and hes the reason i bet on myself and pursued music. thanks mac
