I have a feeling that it's AI written, or at least 'enhanced' ... too many cliche phrases in places where they don't really fit perfectly... especially annoying are the cliche adjectives and adverbs repeating all over the place, giving a feeling of useless bloat. Still the story is interesting. Anyone else that noticed this?

Great story so far, but man, you totally missed the chance to add in a Colombo "Actually, there's just one more thing..." line, then when questioned about it later Nadine makes an off-hand comment about how historical crime show dramas where still popular (which would keep in character with her prior comments re: the genera).
