Shes definitely not lacking in horsepower. Just climbs straight up. Very nice! Hopefully i can get one of these before they stop making them.

Big airplanes fly better. I hope you don't have any cooling issues with the engine. It sounds real good. Thumbs up

Thanks for the thumbs up. It indeed flies great and I am really happy with how it handles. Temperature measurements during static runs were promising, but I still need to evaluate engine temperatures during flight.

@@martin.baumer So long as the rear two cylinders get adequate airflow you should be fine. I have a 1/4 scale J3 and a 1/4 scale PA18. Cubs are too much fun!

I have been looking at this model for a long time, I would like to a slow flier, but Im not sure if this cub is the right one?

@@scalebuilder_sweden Have you seen this video? kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZoesYY2EaphnsNE Philipp does a great job demonstrating the slow flight capability. In my video, since it was the first two flights, I flew quite a bit faster than necessary. I have since started to explore slow flight and I find that the Cub handles great at slow speeds.

Tolles Modell 👌 Fliegen sie mit Asx3 und save??? Vielleicht eine blöde Frage.....??? Aber würde mich interessieren. Traumhaft schön das Flugzeug 💛

I did not use stabilization during the flights in the video, but I do have an AS3000 AS3X Flight Stabilization Module in the Cub. Besides stabilization, it provides altitude and G-force data via telemetry. I think that stabilization could be useful for crosswind landings and I've started to experiment with that in recent test flights.

Ok, did you speed up the video? Or is it just shaky and look fast because of that? What were the speeds? Looks like a carbon Destiny? I had my Pike Superior DS'ing there one day, opposite winds. Duct taped a piece of 12" rebar to the bottom for ballast. Guessing I did about 80...

No, it is the original speed. I think we radared it going around 200 mph.
