Your way to approach training is very Intuitive based, I think
@strongwiseandfree Жыл бұрын
I think so too, Leon. I had been keeping a spreadsheet before this that was more rigid. This let's me play around with my training, while still keeping one eye on progression and the other on recovery.
@IntentionalGains Жыл бұрын
Good rant bro. I definitely see the advantages of training logs for most people, as they do help you keep better track of how much progress you're making. Not gonna lie though, I've just been winging it lol. I've been adding sets and reps for progressive overload when I feel my work capacity has increased lately but I haven't been keeping close track. I definitely plan to be more thorough on the future but I can definitely tell my body's changing; but I know experiences can definitely vary to each individual.
@strongwiseandfree Жыл бұрын
Thanks Joel! You've definitely been getting some results from your training. At the end of the day, your body doesn't know if you're tracking or not. It helps me make decisions, since I can just glance at my phone and see when the lat time I curled was, and how much weight/reps/sets. If I'm feeling good, I might try to beat last session. It helps me wing it with a purpose.

Thanks Davin! Helms rows are the poster-child for stimulus to fatigue ratio. I feel like I can do them at or close to failure for multiple sets without recovery becoming an issue

Thanks man! I'm seriously thinking of switching back to it even when I get home. My upper/lower has been really good to me, but I like the flexibility of full-body, and I have some ideas to make it special.

I have wrist issues, so curls can be an issue for me as well. I'm mostly doing hammer curls these days as the neutral grip feels good on my wrists. What about curls do you hate? There may be a variation that negates the problem.
@Croissantrophy.meme.channel2 жыл бұрын
@@strongwiseandfree I've done db curls, hammer curls, ez bar curls, straight bar, cable with a bar, cables single hand, preacher curls... the only ones that felt ok were supinated db curls and seated ez bar curls. All the others hurt my elbow to some degree, and even when it doesn't hurt is just boring. I still train arms 3 times a week, but biceps is the worst. Oh and also ring curls, those feel great
@strongwiseandfree2 жыл бұрын
@@Croissantrophy.meme.channel sounds like ring curls are the winner for now
