Yeah I think that they should just do it based off of the top 12 teams. In the NFL there’s 14, thats too much. Also, I dont have a problem with conference champs getting a bid, but thats all they should get. The top 4 teams get byes, the conference champs just get bids

39:45 The Clockgate game exists in perfect symmetry with Michigan’s faux-natty in ‘23. UMich chuds spent DECADES claiming that that win by Sparty doesn’t count. Now they get to spend eternity hearing about how their B1G and National Championships don’t count (as the evidence of rule-breaking malfeasance by Harbaugh and co is FAR MORE concrete what was alleged of Spartan Bob (who was ultimately cleared of wrongdoing by the conference))
@j_r_junior3 ай бұрын
38:05 one of the under-discussed aspects of Trouble with the Snap is the fact that Harbaugh almost certainly called a fake-punt pass on the final play. Dantonio was sending all 11 after the punter, and Harbaugh and staff absolutely recognized that MSU had nobody back to receive the punt. If you watch the replay, the Michigan gunners almost immediately turn their heads back towards the backfield as though they are expecting the ball to come to them (as opposed to what they’d do on an actual punt-sprint full speed downfield). Also helps explain why the UMich punter mishandled the snap: he was already looking downfield for an open man. Harbaugh nor any UMich player/fan would ever admit to it, but that play is almost 100% attributable to Harbaugh’s hubris and eagerness to rub it in and run up the score. A perfect encapsulation of what was to come in the Harbaugh era.

Hats off to your Spartans, they played hard. If you think Ohio State got all the calls from the officials check right around 50 seconds left in the first half and watch your DB grab JJ by the face mask and about twist his head off right in front of the official, that should have been 15 yards added to the end of the play, if as you imply the fix is in for OSU seems the official missed a chance. I agree the officials missed some calls but they missed them on both sides. Best of luck with the rest of your season.

If the Spartans can figure out how to lose the miscues, and get some improvement at the QB position they'll be dangerous.

Since we’re still in the 24-hour window, gonna be a butthurt equivocator and emphasize that pretty much every call and non-call, every review and non-review by the refs went in OSU’s favor. We know the conference wants OSU to remain undefeated, but they could at least adopt the veneer of impartiality and, e.g. review that 4th and 1 that they just gave to Judkins. OSU would’ve won anyway, but they didn’t want to let MSU stay in the game going into halftime. Still, loser gripes aside, OSU has some ballers and Spartans made mistakes when they had no margin to do so. Overall, there are positives for the team to take away from this game in that the depleted roster was not outright man handled play in and play out. Sparty won its fair share of plays in that game and can build on them moving forward. Win or lose-Go Green!

You dont think Sparty got calls? What about the Facemask on JJ Smith with his one handed catch. Should have been another 15 yards tacked on. There were many others. Calls go both ways.

@@VegasBuckeye *likes own comment* c’mon dude, take off your scarlet and crimson goggles. The refs did the same thing for Michigan the last three years. They are in the conference’s pocket. Idk why you gotta pretend reality ain’t real just because it’s your team who benefits

5:57 Fancher deliberately left the chin strap loose so that the helmet flying off would make the hits he intentionally late-slid into look worse than they were. His entire strategy in the game was to play the refs rather than play against the defense (which I see as a testament to Rossi’s defense’s prowess). Even at the end when he and Bogle collided the dude flopped and tried to get the refs to throw a flag. Even though for SOS I should want FAU to win as many games as possible from here on out, I will be rooting HARD against Fancher for the contrivance of a performance he put on the field. He’s (currently) my villain for the season. Still, despite all that, it should be noted by the offense that Fancher out-passed Chiles by a couple yards, so Lingdren’s unit has some soul searching to do.

Too much lane clogging in the half court, need better spacing. Lack of the drive and kick, tons of contested shots at the rim.
