Hard pressed to find a better season than '86. One of the finest NFL campaigns.

Schroeder....so streaky and bad. Horrible footwork, wild all over the place and had that Jeff George trait of just relying on his arm strength. But Art Monk, man. So, so good.

59:49 Image winning two superbowls and then winning nothing for 20 years and still head coach of that same team. If this were in the 00's to today he would have lasted maybe 4 years after his last superbowl win. Not really impressive

Wow the Wolverine aka B Dawkins really benefited from the Eagles weight program m. He weighed 190 his rookie year. By the early 2000’s he usually hovered around 210-212. And leaving opponents woozy🦅

Thank you so much for posting this game. Brings back so many memories. I went to that game. Freezing rain from the time we started tailgating till we left. Was sitting in the nose bleed section. Almost slipped on the stairs a few times. Marty should have went with Gannon. Still an awesome game.

Montana is the most overrated QB ever. Better easy when he had the greatest WR ever.
@jamiejohnson4524Күн бұрын
Definitely not overrated. More often than not, Montana was money in big games and won 2 Super Bowls before Rice’s arrival.

This was 38 years ago, but that still doesn’t excuse the surface that they’re playing on that at Bush Stadium had to be the worst turf to play on besides the vet in Philly. I can’t believe the NFL let that go there’s been so many great players that had their careers cut short from surfaces like that all over the league I am so glad that Washington was always on natural grass

Interesting I found this. I was at this game. Huge Eagles fan but had lived in Florida for years. It was amazing the watch that first half happen right in front of me. But it was also so fucking hot. Even after living years in FL at that point that sun was fierce in the second quarter. In the video you can see the landscape shot shown as they went to halftime. That storm came through over halftime and it was a brief but intense deluge that almost felt cold. Then in the third the sun was back out and the heat and humidity were even worse. I remember being thankful how far ahead the Eagles were and we were put of the humid furnace lol

This was a real football game. Both QBs took some hits. Most QBs by 2008 were pampered. Roethlisberger wasn't protected because of the allegations and McNabb wasn't for other reasons. But really no QB should be pampered. It's football not badminton.

Another bad one for red zone ineptitude late in McNabb's career. Although the defense failing to get off the field for virtually the entire last half of the 4th quarter didn't help either. The Eagles looked like a bad football team after 5 games.

Typical Eagle/ Philly Fan: Never Giving the Opposition credit. Bears had an awesome goal line stand! Can’t wait to see Eagles lose in the Playoffs Again This Year! Your 2017 Super Bowl was a Fluke! Go Bears!

@JimmyH913 күн бұрын
@@StevenAsadi If you want the Bears to get credit, a comment like this is not the way to get it. They had a goal line stand. Okay? Eagles still should've won. Philly fans are the best fans in sports. No one else could put up with what we have to put up with and turn out so great. We might not get past the Lions, but it's cute that all you have to look forward to is another team losing in the playoffs. Truly pathetic. And not likely to change anytime soon, either. Birds were the best team with the deepest roster wire to wire in 2017, and beat the Bears by 28 that year IIRC. And if you don't believe me, let's say it was a fluke. Ask Giants fans if they care about Eli Manning's 2 rings being flukes. They don't. Neither do I. They don't ask how, they ask how many. Class dismissed.

This game!!!!!!! needs to be shown to the REDSKINS/commanders I hate that name commanders anyway the home game against Dallas 1986 needs to be shown to the team sometime before kickoff Sunday ……. at this time, the Redskins had the best looking uniforms in the league. There’s not even a question about it. RFK was always sold out was the hardest place to play for the visiting team. Those were such good times. Everybody thinks we’re going to beat Dallas Sunday. I would not be surprised if we lose. #5 has not been 100% since he hurt his ribs and the Carolina game the numbers don’t lie search his numbers since that game #8 has not been able to stay on the field and we all know our defense is horrible not too bad against the run, but if our secondary had a tarp, the size of the football field, we still couldn’t cover any receivers giving up three draft picks for a 30 year old injury prone been in the league for eight years and has only completed an NFL season one time and he will not see the field this season Mark my words and I don’t wanna keep hearing about playoffs we made the trade for the playoff push i’m a lifelong Redskin fan from birth death. I’m telling you right now. There is six games left in the regular season. We know we can’t beat the Eagles. We’re gonna be lucky if we beat the Cowboys Sunday. I do not think we win three more games we will not make the playoffs this season.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
