This information is horrific and mind boggling wrong. Goldfish were bred in China from Prussian Carp thousands of years ago. Koi are recent, and are not related to goldfish. They were selectively bred from the Amur Carp in Japan few hundred years ago. Goldfish are thousand years of selective breeding in comparison.
