Is there any interim maintenance one can do on the CAT if suspected, before replacing NOX sensor? Thanks.

I don’t think so, looking at the BMW diagnostic software it says if cat 🐈 is suspected to be causing a problem then needs to be replaced. But often the fault code referring to the nox can be ignored. Unless there is a fault that causes an issue with the running of the engine. Hope this makes sense sorry.

Great video. Cn you just clarify that you suspected injector 1 because switching it off in a test made no worsening of the misfire? Also, many DIYs emphasise changing injector seals which need compressing with a special tool - don't you need to do that or is that just for new injectors? Finally, do you have to code the new injector?

Hi, to be honest I never come across anything that states the injectors need to be compressed, so can’t really comment much on that. Yes the injector in number one cylinder was not working and switching it of just confirmed that the misfire was in number one cylinder though the misfire could be caused by a spark plug or coil pack. But those have been changed in this car. You would have to check that too. And yes technically the injector need to be programmed. Though I didn’t do that I think, don’t remember, it is advised to do so. I just get to many BMW of that era with injector problems.

I change the oil in my 2013 B250 W246 270 engine (petrol) sucking it through the dip tube - no need to get underneath. Way easier, cleaner and quicker. Perhaps you can use the same method for your engine.

Thank you very much ! have this problem with K14 !! I found 2 times water on passengers seat which indeed i realised is coming from the air filter side behind the console. Then i checked what you checked here and indeed was full of water and mud!! I park my car below trees and thats why the mud. Thanks a lot my friend !! unfortunately i ll not be able to remove all those alone hope mechanic will not steal all my money !! :D

Ive just bought a golf plus 2ltr for the wife ..its a 2006 model ..no heater working ..checked fuse and no fuse in place ..put new fuse in and turned fan on big flash and fuse burnt out ..question is is it the fan motor or resister blowing fuses ..

Mine is a 2017. It won't accept a new value until the tyres are warmed up for some reason. I don't have a run flat indicator, but it does give me individual tyre pressures. I like that you go back to basics and don't assume we know stuff. I never knew it had a PSI tyre pressure chart there, but it is there!!! I have always used Google to find the PSI. Thanks for that. I really do appreciate your videos.
