Boet, Mandela was one of the biggest terrorists during the war. There is nothing noble about the man. I was in the military up until 1994 and can tell you first hand how corrupt the entire abolishing of "apartheid" was. FW De Klerk and his henshmen together with the cia and mi6 helpt destroy this magnificent country. Do not be fooled by the current propaganda in this country. It is all lies. Besides that, love the video. Thats where I grew up when this country was still running properly.

I am so glad you watched and enjoyed this,, this is actually my Grandmother who has never been on such a trip before, On this trip I have not been to Kgalagadi but up to the Caprivi and Vic Falls (Zambia) - Kgalagadi and also into the Delta for now is still a bit of a problem for me as I have a 4x2 vehicle and not a 4x4, Hope you are subscribed for future Videos, have a lovely day
@edwardillingworth5660
@edwardillingworth5660 10 ай бұрын
You can do Kgalagadi in a 4x2 as long as you stick to the South African side and to the main roads, but a 4x4 will be more rewarding.
@hannesolivier5889
@hannesolivier5889 10 ай бұрын

@edwardillingworth5660
@edwardillingworth5660 10 ай бұрын
There are three 'main' camps on the South African side which all have lovely camping sites and all accessible by non 4x4. Then there are a few wilderness camps also accessible by non 4x4. Do yourself a favor and google Kgalagadi. It's the best game reserve in RSA, but very popular so you have to book a year in advance most times. Like I said, looking forward to your videos from there :)

About Tlaeng Pass. The Tlaeng Pass lies over the South African border in Lesotho - the highest road pass in Southern Africa, and Africa's highest drivable pass. The summit of Tlaeng Pass lies 3251 metres above sea level, a desolate landscape known as the Roof of Africa.

They're called cairns, it's based on old Gaelic traditions. Nowadays the cairns are more symbolic, but they can also be a mark to show hikers the path. In old times the cairns would be on dangerous paths and often had food or water kept safe under the rocks, so any weary traveler passing by could drink water or have something to eat, those Cairns were often the difference between life and death. Nowadays a lot of hikers follow the "leave no trace" principle so adding on to the hikers Cairn is becoming less popular. (no I'm not worried about my brain getting too full, it's far too late for that 🤣)
