I was wondering the same thing. I’ve had mine for 7 years now and my dentist told me that it’ll just fall out one day so.... kinda scary but I don’t want to frighten you. I always forget it’s there.

I had 4 premolars extracted and got TMJ and my chin was already recced and it got more recced and my profile looks flatter ಥ_ಥ It was traditional braces and another orthodontist saw me and said I have no k nine guidance.

I had an expander for about 4 months and finally got it out a few months back (thank goodness). Ive had brackets since the start of my expander and then they put on my wire once all the cranking and stuff was done, and now i get my bottom braces on the 29th! All of this has been making me interested in ortho stuff and now i kind of want to work in the teeth field when i get older

Hello doctor. So, I use the braces on the upper teeth only, it is because the teeth on my upper jaw are overlap (messy) while my lower jaw has no problem. And then I have read an article a while back that said putting on braces in one jaw only isn't good for both jaw arches. Is it true? and why did it happen? My dentist didn't tell me about this struggle. literally my dentist just ask me to choose between upper or lower jaw or even both would be bracketed. then I choose the upper jaw only bcs like I said before, the teeth on my lower jaw has no problem(straight). So, should I putting on braces in my lower teeth? is it okay?

when I try sticking the threader through my teeth it wont go through because the gaps between my teeth are close, I try EVERYDAY and all i want is to clean my gums !

I'm going to try be best to explain how I do it haha. So I take the threader and poke it through the wire going down, I dont poke it through my teeth but on the inside of my mouth through the wire. Then I use my tongue to lift it up and pull it through all the way. Then floss as normal 😉

I would try going in from the top and under the wire completly avoiding the gums

Typically at that age they are placed into our complimentary supervision program until they have enough adult teeth to start a full treatment. However, there are special circumstances that would require a preventative type of treatment that could be necessary at a younger age.
