If you’re constantly greasing industrial or farm equipment things, then yes, it’s worth the investment. But if you use it for here and there and every once in a while, then my $40 manual grease gun works just fine.

If you would have heated up that hose in a dryer for a few minutes, it would have been more maleable. You would be able to get it to shape/bend at the drain end like you wanted it to. You can use a hairdryer or heat gun for the same effect. Be careful and don't melt it or burn your fingers. 🤔

We actually had this same problem at the laundromat that I volunteer work at. We have older Dexter washers, and they don't have emergency stop buttons. What I did is that I had to shut the breaker off, open the person's machine, take their clothes out (they were really hot too), and pry out 3 screws. It could have seriously did a lot of damage to the machine if I wasn't there. Would've had a broken belt, motor may have caught fire, etc. Luckiest moment we've had at the laundromat. Now, every time I'm there, I check the drums on ALL the washers and dryers, and if I even see a loose screw or nail bouncing around, I throw it away. This video is really helpful. 👍

Cool laundromat! It's very upsetting that all the equipment is Maytag though. Especially those soft-mount front load "commercial" machines. ☹️ Hopefully y'all can get everything up and running again.

Commercial Maytag is junk. Trust me the cheap owners of my apartment building have Maytag washers and dryers and they are always breaking down every week.
@yh-yc3nk5 ай бұрын
Problem is with dexter pay, speed queen, app, is then they have access to all your stores data/sales. These companies also build laundromats that they also sell to investors. I think you're basically just giving them free sales data and don't be surprised if a store pops up nearby. I'd rather use laundroworks, cents or another company that doesn't build laundromats.
@GiantLaundromatsManagement4 ай бұрын
Cents owns laundroworks. We must keep an eye on these companies who are actually working against us.

How did you all start buying laundromats
@GiantLaundromatsManagement4 ай бұрын
We just started with one. Saved up a down payment and financed it through a bank. It was listed for sale. Nowadays you can find them on the internet or through a business broker.

I have the exact same Irwin snap ring pliers, had to buy one to remove the snap ring on my Maytag dryer from 1974 to remove the drum to lubricate the wicking material for the drum bearing a few years back. Also familiar with the pulleys on the back as well, I always clean and lubricate everything while the rear panel is removed to be sure everything runs quietly and smoothly. I suspect the motor bearings failed from lack of lubrication, possibly from the slider/tensioner mechanism not having any grease on it which keeps proper tension. If the tension is too tight, will put extra strain on the motor bearings, too loose will cause it not to tumble properly.

Exactly. The way the engineers create it sometimes isn’t so practical in the field.
