I'll sum up their differences 1st. Crosswind Vortex is faster to cast, bigger AoE, CC cost is lower by 4 and the base Crosswind is by far better than Cyclone. Over Cylone has +6 ISB, dual elements, longer hitstun and higher damage. Though the base Cyclone isn't really that good considering its cast time. Crosswind Vortex is still indeed better if the enemies are low on IS. But against enemies with Mercuria/Morian tier of recovery and weight, the combo can drop mid spell if the enemies aren't weak to wind. Plus if enemies has a lot of IS like F51-52, they can immediately attack you or just run away from its AoE. Over Cyclone on the other hand, like in the video, can instantly break IS. And since the stagger is longer, you can also combo it into base Crosswind after. The downside is that it won't be preferable against fast enemies or projectile shooters due to its cast time. Another minor downside is against super heavy nexus/small enemies. Since the spell is traveling, the last hit will miss on them if they're heavy enough, and you can't combo base Crosswind off it. Though it's fine if the enemies are large enough like the Golem and Behemoth. My thoughts? It's pretty alright. It still has its good use, specially that ISB and enemy push. Hence I equipped him with 60% CTR Tower skill which goes really well with it. But if I'll be honest. I'm really disappointed that he got another windy tornado 5 star when he got a bunch of choices, like Crimson Flare for example. And Rays is forgetting the fact that he's a blue mage who can have all sorts of offensive spells he'd want.

@@Meian From what I've seen of mage B5 so far, is that if they had good 5* before, the b5 hardly tops it. Like with Phillia, her rb5 is no better than Saint Astral. But thanks for the explanation! It's nice to have an indepth review of Kongwai's equipment.

First of all, Camu is a Transcendant which deals heavy blows of damage. My Camu is "SSS" which gains a lot of "extra bonus damge" during Berserk mode, and there's also his Core Passive to add. And that's why he is hitting hard upon entering Berserk Mode.

@@Meian Watanabe is also SSS since he's my main, yet he's hitting concrete when I thought there's already too much penetration that should be happening

Comparing Watanabe to Camu is like comparing Heaven and Earth. SSS Camu hits like a truck, while SSS+ Camu is a literal God. BP is not the main source of DPS either, it could be just he focused enhancing memories increasing atk than HP.

It's actually easier to solo because there's only few enemies. While some floors only receives 1 damage from either magic or strike artes, MAs can still kill them. The only main issue at the moment is the Critical Golem at F56, since mage characters won't be able to crit them efficiently compared to hybrid/melee characters.

It's actually the RNG luck proccing its 5th enhance in a row, with the chance of dealing double damage. 🤣
